Thomas got off of the train, still reeling from the bizarre experience of being sucked into a game world like this, unsure of how to handle all of this. For now, all he could really do was roll with it... though he had no idea what to do now.
Thankfully, almost immediately after getting off the train, Thomas would be greeted by another familiar face. An adorable dog woman rushed to meet him, a bright smile on her face and a clipboard in her hand. Thomas would note that, like with Rover, her body wasn't quite what he remembered from the game. The animals were more humanoid, though not fully; they weren't cute little chibi figures with small bodies and big heads, but they still had a cartoonish aspect to their proportions. Though, he noted, he also seemed a bit more cartoonish himself. Regardless, he took note that she was about a head shorter than him with a bit of a curvy, mostly pear-shaped figure, with decent breasts and wide hips.
"Hi!" she greeted as she reached him, snapping him out of his thoughts. "You must be our new resident, Thomas! I'm Isabelle, the mayor of this lovely community! Welcome to Pervish Town!"
Pervish Town? Thomas realized that he hadn't been prompted to name the town he was going to like in the games, that one had been preassigned to it. It made sense, he supposed, but still... what kind of name was that?
Ignoring the concerns, he returned her greeting kindly, trying to play it cool as she turned and began leading him out of the station. As she prattled on about how much she loved living here and how lucky she was to be named mayor after the last had stepped down, Thomas felt a growing dread. Was this the part of the game where it would be revealed he had no home and would have to make a deal with Nook? He braced himself for the question...
"And here we are, your new home!" Thomas blinked and looked. Sure enough, Isabelle had brought him to a new house, his name already on the mailbox. "It's a good thing you set this up with Tom Nook before moving! Could you imagine, moving to a new town only to not have a house to move into?" Thomas chuckled at the joke, thankful for the place to stay for now.
"Well, I'm sure you'd like to get settled in. Though, if you'd like, I'd love to take you on a tour of our local businesses or introduce you to your new neighbors! It would be my pleasure!" Thomas couldn't help but feel his heart soar a bit at her infectious positivity and adorable smile. As strange as this experience was... it was kind of nice, being here. Thinking it over, he decided...
