Were the words out of your mouth once you calmed down enough to notice the changes. It was quite obvious why you said those words. First of all you were in a warm humid location with tropical or subtropical feel to it. It could be Alola, you thought. But then again, not only is there a volcano dominating the skyline, but there’s also a lot of water around. Some might say too much water, 7.8 out of 10.
So it was safe to say that this is Hoenn. A region based on southern Japan. Lovely.
The second thing that made you exclaim about the heat, was the fact that you were on fire. Literally. Not that it bothered you much. In fact it felt quite pleasant. Like snuggling into a warm blanket in a cold winter day.
Skipping over the ridiculousness of actively being on fire you notice a few other changes within yourself. First you had a small pair of horns. Not boney horns, no they felt like stone. Volcanic rocks to be specific. In fact it was from an opening atop of these that your fire was originating from. Another change was your feet or lack thereof.
It seems that now instead of your regular human feet, you now had hooves. Obsidian ones at that. Much like your claws. Other then that, you could tell that your skin had become hard and rocky. Completely made of igneous stone. With the occasional feature of Obsidian sticking out from a shoulder or elbow.
Looking at your reflection in a puddle of water, you kind of looked like a firey rocky imp.
With a sigh, you sat on a rock and thought about what to do from now. You weren't sad with your typing. Fire Pokemon are definitely one of your favorites and there's plenty of rock types that like as well. The problem being that it was a combination that leaves you extremely vulnerable to water and this is probably the wettest region in the franchise.
Although your instincts were arguing about it, you decide that if you are to survive Hoenn you are going to need the help of a human. Perhaps you can explain the situation to them and figure something out.
With that in mind you head out. For most of the day keeping a low profile and staying hidden in the tall grass hoping to find someone helpful and that's when you noticed...
