Even if you were a small Pokemon now, it doesn't mean that you forget how it is to be a human. It is pretty obvious to you that the food hanging right in front of you is the bait from a fishing line. It would be stupid to believe that it was there just for the pickings. At the same time your foolish human pride told you that you could probably steal the food without getting caught. So you went for it.
You swam straight up to the hooked meat and grabbed it with your arms. Your strategy was to hold it still so the fisherman wouldn't notice your moves as you try to ripped it out. For the most part it was working out. You had pulled a chunk away and placed it on your trident while you tried to get more. It was then when disaster struck.
Perhaps the fisherman just wanted to reel in a bit of the line. Perhaps they were an experienced fisherman that noticed the most minute vibrations. Regardless of what it was, you felt the bait get pulled right out of your arm and up your face. Which in itself wouldn't be so bad since you were no longer holding onto it, except that the seashell rocky helm on your face managed to catch the hook and get pulled along with it.
You did try to fight back. Maybe get a better handle to get yourself unstuck. But it all happened too fast and you weren't strong enough to fight whoever was on the other side.
Soon you broke the barrier between the air and the water as a hand bigger than your torso wrapped around you. Another hand, just as massive as the first one, pulled the hook from your headgear and then you found yourself hanging by your tail in front of two colossal beings.
With your knowledge of the game you quickly realize who these were. It was the water and grass Trial Captains, Lana and Mallow.
You could see the blue hair one wearing a one piece swimsuit. She was holding you in one hand and had her fishing rod in the other. Meanwhile the taller green hair Mallow was sporting a two piece bikini standing by a grill and a cooler as she looked over towards you.
"What kind of fish is that Lana?"
"I don't know, but it's as small as a whishiwashi."
"Do you think it's eatable? We haven't caught much for the barbecue."
"Don't know. But it doesn't look poisonous. We could give it a try. Although it looks like a new species so we could take it to that girl Selene who's completing the pokedex and you know that the Aether Foundation is always paying for new samples."
"That's true. Although if it is a Water Type, you could capture it for yourself. A new addition to the trial."
"Don't know it is a little small to offer much of a challenge."
While the two girls were casually discussing your fate, you were struggling to brake away from Lana's iron grip to no avail. You also tried yelling at them to explain your situation. Either they couldn't hear your words or it came out as Pokemon gibberish to them.
So in the end you could do nothing as they decided what to do with you. Which was...
