Dana was lying in bed when suddenly her ears were barraged by an attack from her alarm. She opened her eyes and saw the time, 6:30 am.
"Ugh, alright time to get up. Come on body, get up." Dana talked to her body to get at least some of her parts moving. She could tell they weren't asleep anymore, just not fully awake. Dana saw one of her arms slip out of the covers.
"There we go, that's it," Dana said encouragingly.
"Nnno nnnoissssey" a voice in her head said, confusing Dana. Then her own arm inserted her fingers into the crease in her neck, separating her head from her body.
"Wait, no! Stop!" Dana yelled but it was too late. Her body had separated itself from her and slipped back into her covers.
"Come on guys! It's a school day! We're gonna be late!" Dana said but it was pointless. Her body couldn't hear anything without her ears attached. And worse still, they hadn't even bothered with the alarm, meaning she couldn't even get the extra sleep either. Dana puffed her cheeks in anger over her own body's laziness.
