“KATIE!” Robin smiled as she opened the apartment door for her little sister.
The younger Scherbatsky gave a polite smile and a wave before she was pulled into a hug, mixed feelings running through her head.
Oh sure, her sister’s apartment meant she saved massive amounts of money on a hotel and it was relatively close to main subway lines. But she could really do without Robin’s overprotectiveness.
Granted, Robin had been right about Kyle (And Katie could admit that that was on her. In hindsight, Kyle really was every American Dad! joke about douchebags) but that didn’t mean Katie needed her big sister to be her shadow. She’d barely gotten to see New York City last time she was here, having been near-perpetually wrapped in Robin’s arms after Kyle had left.
Still, she was willing to give Robin a chance. But… if worse came to worse… she had found a method to make Robin experience what it was like to be the little sister.
Now to her credit, Robin did start out alright, showing genuine curiosity in how things were going back in Canada but as Katie began listing off more of her plans in New York, Robin had gone right back to overprotective big sister mode, insisting on accompanying Katie on what few sites met her approval.
And it was Robin’s refusal to let Katie go to the M&M store, fearing cavities and a spending spree, that convinced Katie to put her plan into action the following morning.
It was fortuitous that she'd crossed paths with that brilliant, desperate scientist. Just as it was sad that all it had taken for her to part with the shrinking device was Katie getting her some medicine through Canadian Medicare.
"Ready to go?" Robin asked her the next morning.
"Oh I'm so ready." Katie smiled as the device built up its charge behind her back. "Can we just take a selfie first? I wanna remember this moment."
"Um... sure?" Robin agreed with a shrug, sliding next to Katie as her younger sister pulled out her phone. It was just as the two adopted goofy smiles that Robin felt something be jabbed against her spine before she felt a sharp jolt of electricity run along her spine and her vision went black.

Robin Scherbatsky awoke to a heavy pounding running through her skull. “Ugh. What did I have to drink last night?” She moaned, rubbing her head as she sat up.
“Oh good. You’re... you're still alive.” A slightly flustered voice boomed from behind her, the aspiring news reporter looking over her shoulder.
It was a good thing Robin was already sitting down as she took in her little sister, now towering over her like the Statue of Liberty.
“K-Katie?” Robin stuttered, scooting back slightly. “What… what the hell? How… how did you get so big?”
“Oh I didn’t.” Katie replied, pointing an index finger bigger than Robin’s whole body down at her sister. “Look down.”
Robin did so and noticed three things right away.
The first was that she was naked.
The second was that, going by the patterns beneath and around her, she was now sitting on her coffee table. Now this alone wasn’t a particularly noteworthy piece of information. While she didn’t sit on it often, the table was capable of supporting her weight.
That was where the third thing she noticed became particularly relevant. That the coffee table was more akin to a desert plain.
“Katie.” Robin began in a low growl as she stood up to her full, and rather unimpressive, height. “Did you shrink me?! Is that what that jab and that shock was?”
“Yeah,” Katie answered with a smile and laugh as she knelt down so as to be roughly eye level with her sister. “You being knocked out for so long, I admit, was a scare and I didn’t expect you to wind up naked but all in all, I think it’s fine.”
“FINE!? Katie I’m an inch tall!”
“Oh Robin, have you gone imperial?” Katie taunted.
Robin’s eyes widened. “Centimeters!” She hastily corrected. “I’m a few centimeters tall.” Robin shook her head. “No. Katie, why did you shrink me?
“Oh you’ve been smothering me all my life and I want to have my own experiences. This seemed easier than just having an honest conversation.” Katie shrugged before she picked up Robin by the hips. “Plus this gives you a chance to experience what it’s like to be the… little sister.” Katie chuckled.
Robin swallowed a lump in her throat as Katie stood back up to her full height, sparing a downwards glance that she instantly regretted. “Look Katie. Maybe I shouldn’t smoother you so much. But I was only trying to protect you. Just turn me back to normal and we can talk about this.” Robin smiled, already planning to use the combat and survival skills she’d gained the many times their father had dumped her in the wilderness on her sister.
“Ooh no can do Robin.” Katie shook her head. “I’ve got a full schedule of things to see. And assuming that it’ll take you as long to grow back as you did to shrink, I don't have that time.” The younger girl mused.
“Eh,” Katie shrugged eventually. “I guess I’ll just take you with me. Looks like you will be accompanying me after all.”
“WHAT!?” Robin screamed, hands subconsciously wrapping around her naked body. “No. No, no, no. Katie you cannot take me outside like this.” The elder Scherbatsky paled, already thinking of a Cockamouse taking dives at her little body. Or worse. Lily seeing her like this.
“Oh don’t worry Robin.” Katie smirked with the second most evil smile Robin had ever seen (behind Barney of course) “Like I said. You’ll have the chance to experience what it’s like to be the little sister. I’ll protect you to the point of smothering.”
Ice griped Robin's heart as she soon found herself falling down:
1) Katie's butt, accompanying her sister on the long train ride to Coney Island.
2) Katie's bra. Should allow Robin a nice view of Central Park as her sister takes a stroll.
3) Katie's sock. It's the perfect season for skiing outside of Rockefeller Plaza.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
