"I'm sorry, but I should get going. I might be back though, this place seems very nice!" Beth said while waving goodbye and firing her portal gun. The cat waved back before Beth stepped into the portal and returned to the garage, smiling at the portal gun while thinking of it's possibilities. Beth walked into the living room, hiding the device from Summer who was still on her phone while sprawled out on the couch.
"How's it going, honey?" Beth asked.
"I'm fine… what do you want?" Summer asked, still without looking away from her phone. Beth rolled her eyes, looking at the gun and deciding there was no sweet talking to her. Beth moves towards Summer and goes for her phone, snatching it out of her unsuspecting hands. Once Beth has the phone she holds it in the air and out of Summers reach.
"Hey what the hell Mom! I was just sending a message, please give it back!" Summer said as she stood up and tried to grab it out of her mother's hands with no success.
"I will give back when you just listen to me for a moment." Beth said with a stern look, waiting for Summer to relax. Summer lowered her arms and sat back down on the couch with a frown on her face. "I've decided that you and I need to spend some quality time together, something that's fun for both of us. I'm so tired of you being on this damn cell phone all the time! So after we spend some time together, you can have your phone back."
"What are you going to make me do?" Summer looked upset but wasn't sure what else she could do.
"Your grandpa gave me this cool device I was thinking we could try out together, it'll take us anywhere in any dimension!" Summer looked interested in the portal gun, standing up and taking a look at it.
"Woah… do you know how to use it?"
"We just type in keywords of things we want, and things we don't. I already tried it out, it's really easy."
"No way, so we could go anywhere we'd like just by imputing what we want… even our own parallel universes?"
"I mean, I guess so. Rick said it'll go anywhere, and we just can't break it. Other than that he didn't seem concerned. What do you say, wanna go on a trip with me?" Beth asked, looking optimistic in Summers' response due to the big smile on her face.
"Yes, okay you win. Can we go somewhere with a beach?"
"Yes, you've got it coming right up!" Beth said as she started inputting data that would take them to an awesome beach.
