Steven Wants The Blue Knife

    by: Hellexia Author IconMail Icon
"Then I'll have the red one!" Carly chirped, kissing Steven on the cheek. "Or did you actually want both?"

"Just the blue one." Steven muttered, unable to look away from Carly's cheerful face. "You're uh..."

"What, love?"

"You're just cute today. That probably sounds weird." Steven muttered, his heart racing as Carly blushed. "We should probably-"

"Hey." Carly whispered, grabbing Steven's face by his cheeks. "I owe you an anniversary present too, don't I?"

"We'll be late..."

"What's a few minutes?" Carly asked, sliding atop Steven. "I don't know how I never saw how sweet you were for all those years."

"I-I-"

"I love you." Carly whispered, taking Steven's length within her folds with ease. "Steven?"

"Carly, I..." Steven whispered with a gulp. "I love you too..."

"You finally said it." Carly muttered, a delighted smile appearing on her face. "I love you, you awkward, nervous man, you..."

A While Later, At Wilko

"I'll see you at lunch." Steven whispered, giving Carly a quick peck on the cheek. "Don't have too much fun today."

"I'll try not to." Carly said, winking at Steven. "Tell Emma it's my fault you're late, okay?"

"But-"

"I'll give her a free mani-pedi, she'll let it slide." Carly assured, kissing Steven back on his lips. "Don't come to lunch as a bunch of spare parts, you hear me?"

"I won't. And the same to you." Steven whispered as Carly smiled and headed over to her salon.

"What happened between you two?" Emma asked as she entered the store, her hair frazzled. "You're all over each other."

"We just... Emma, why are you late?" Steven asked. "Later than me too. Did your car-"

"Alice's car." Emma groaned. "Don't ask why she was halfway to Manchester."

"I told you, mum, it was because my phone's GPS was wrong!" Alice shouted as she came in behind Emma, a scowl on her pretty face. "And why-"

"I'm paying to get that sodding engine fixed, you're a grown adult, you're paying me back." Emma said, turning to Steven. "Mind training her today?"

"I'm not a-"

"Why can't I work at that cafe place at least?" Alice whined. "Please? I don't-"

"Because you can start today if you work at Wilko. I can pull some strings." Emma explained with a sigh. "Please, Steven? I can trust you to actually teach her and keep her out of trouble."

"Not to be greedy, but-"

"I can't pay you extra without paperwork. Corporate." Emma grumbled. "But I can probably get you a few extra vacation days. Paid."

"Fine." Steven accepted, scratching his chin. "Alice, go to-"

"I know, I have to get a polo." Alice grumbled, looking down at her current shirt that contained her cute, perky figure. "I need a-"

"Alice, don't tell Steven your size." Emma groaned. "Just go to my office, Natalie should be back there. Or Kelly."

"Liz isn't?" Steven asked. "Is she out today?"

"She'll be in around lunch. She and Eric couldn't find another opening for their lawyer." Emma explained. "Which also means Courtney needs some supervision. Damn girl won't stay off her phone..."

Meanwhile

"I'm all right now! Get it?!" Carly joked in the backroom of the salon, much to Zoe's absolute bewilderment. "'Cause my left arm is-"

"I got it, but HOW?!" Zoe shouted, staring at her friend, now with both arms sticking out of her right shoulder. "Seriously, how?!"

"This." Carly said, moving her hands down before stopping and giggling. "The purse is on the other side! Pfft!"

"I'll get it." Zoe muttered, grabbing Carly's purse and taking it off her.

"Thanks." Carly chirped, opening it up and pulling out the red knife. Without warning, Carly brought it down on Zoe's wrist, her purse falling to the floor with it. "Now we just-"

"Carly, did you just cut off my hand? There's no blood and-"

"Painless, right?" Carly asked, picking up the hand. "This red knife means you can't feel or move it if it's detached. And if I attach it to me, you can feel it again, but can't control it, I can."

"Wait, you said that like-"

"There's two knives, yeah. Steven's got the blue one. That one, when you cut something, you can feel and move it anyway, whether it's attached or not." Carly answered, putting Zoe's hand back where it belonged. "So?"

"So what?"

"Anything you wanna swap around?" Carly asked with a wink...
