With barely any hesitation, you walk over to the two boys, curious about their conversation.
“All I’m saying is you need to be more open to new experiences, Hilbert.” One of the boys, the one with a red visor, explains to the other one as you walk over.
“It’s not like a new experience is always enjoyable, Nate. Maybe I’ll think about it and try out your advice. I’m going to my cabin for a nap. See you later.” The other one, Hilbert, replies. He turns around, and bumps into you, sending you crashing to the floor. “Yowch!” He cries out.
You look up from the ground and see that you’ve ended up slipping, with your foot somehow having ended up hitting him on the leg.
“I’m so sorry!” You reply, scrambling to stand up and properly apologize. “I shouldn’t have snuck up on you, and-”
“It’s fine.” Hilbert explains, reaching down and rubbing at his leg. As he does so, your eyes follow his hand, and notice his red shoes that, surprisingly, don’t look to have any socks in them. “It’s not like it’s entirely your fault anyway..” he continues.
“Hey, were you in a hurry for some reason?” Nate asks.
“No, just wandering around.” You explain.
“Oh, that’s neat.” Nate replies, grinning. Then his expression falters. He bends down and looks at Hilbert’s leg, and at yours as well. “Yeesh.. you look like you got a bruise from that fall.. I have a first-aid kit in my cabin, if you’d like to come with me to help fix it up.” He adds with a worried glance.
“My cabin’s closer, Nate.” Hilbert explains. He turns to you, and asks, “do you want to come with me to my cabin instead to rest? I paid extra to have comfier bedding during this trip, so letting you rest up in there for a while would be the least I could do to apologize for knocking you over like that.”
You look between the two of them, and reply with, “I think I’ll go with..”
