After shrinking repeatedly throughout the day, you had no idea who to turn to at this point. You first discovered it when you woke up in the morning and realized the height from your bed to the floor. The loose clothing in your closet also enlightened you of your new condition as only the clothes you slept in and wore yesterday seemed to be your same size. You were able to get out of work with a sick day and went to the doctor's office to get a diagnosis. They were baffled and were magnificently unhelpful to what caused your shrinking condition. By now you are less than toddler sized and you can visibly see everything growing in size slowly. With the doctor's office being unhelpful, you try to think of options. It is there where you see a nearby apartment building and a sign outside reads "Alias Investigations". Maybe a private investigator can get to the bottom of this?
You walk to the crosswalk but by now you are less than a foot tall and continuing to shrink. You feel too intimidated to cross because of the length and you fear that you are so small a car won't see you before they turn you into unrecognizable roadkill. You continue to shrink until you are probably around an inch tall. A woman wearing running attire and sneakers makes her way to the crosswalk and you are stuck cowering as her gigantic feet stop just shy of where you are standing, kicking dirt and boulder-sized pebbles towards you that barely miss. You crane your head back and yell for her to help you to get across the road to the building but she is listening to music on her earphones. You aren't so sure she would hear you at this size anyways. She takes a step forward towards the traffic light pole and you are forced to dodge her foot that could crush a warehouse relative to your size. She presses the crosswalk button to cross the road. You get the idea to use her as a way to cross the road somewhat safely.
Grabbing onto the giant woman's pool noodle thick shoe strings and onto the top of her foot. You hold on tight and cringe as the woman lifts up her foot and walks. Each step makes your stomach drop like a roller coaster and the rise of her foot makes her cheeks lift up as the wind rushes through your ears. Everything is a blur but eventually you can focus your eyes to seeing she crossed the road and you have at least one piece of luck in the sea of misfortune as the woman walks through the door of the apartment building. You are shielded from the windy elements of the outdoors as the woman walks to the elevator. The elevator door closes and you are faced with a more substantial g-force as the elevator moves up the floors before it stops abruptly bucking you up her shoelaces and the door opens as a person walks inside. You bucking on the shoelace like riding a bull makes the sweaty woman look down to see you and you watch as the hot giantess's face conforms to a scowl as she kicks her foot forward with so much force that no grip could stop you from being ripped off her shoelace and into the fray.
The world spins around before you land hard onto the ground with just a low enough force to avoid breaking bones. The elevator door closes which is probably for the best as the woman would probably crush you without hesitation since not many people expect a person your size to be anything more than a bug, definitely not a human. Once again you find a miniscule boon of luck as you see a door with a glass pane that has the imprinted words "Alias Investigations". You made it! You walk up the vast hallway which is more like several highways line up side-by-side. You eventually make it to the monumental door and of course it is closed but you can walk from right underneath it.
