Madison

"Uh, hi.." Jack spoke as he gently waved at the girl. She remained motionless, unable to comprehend what was going on. She shook her head, then spoke back. "Wait, wait. Are- are you a real being? Like an actual person? Cause I swear I'm just really tired right now," she whispered. Jack shook his head, keeping his balance on her arm. "No, I'm as real as anyone else in this room, I'm just... smaller. But can you put me down? I feel like I might fall," he spoke. The girl once again shook her head, still in disbelief, but took Jack in her finger tips and set him on her notebook. She leaned in, wanting to get a better look. "You do look awfully real," she whispered, her clean, minted breath soaking over Jack. Jack shrugged. "Well, yeah. I am real. But this isn't something everyone can know about, okay? I could probably get into some awfully awkward situations". The girl nodded in understanding. "Of course, I completely understand. You want me to protect you, that's no problem. Just know, I can get pretty protective sometimes, so just be aware," she spoke, and a slight grin formed on her face. Jack backed up as the girl's dainty hand crept ever so closer to him.

"No, that's not what I meant," he tried to explain. "I just meant that you shouldn't say anything to anyone, you don't need to kidnap me, that's illegal. Besides, I can get back to normal, my backpack's right next to you. Hell, I was sitting next to you at normal size not that long ago, I can grow back!". The girl wasn't listening to him. "No, don't be like that. You and I can be the best of friends. I can take care of you, and in return, you can do things for me". She grabbed Jack and brought him up to her face, pulling him in for a kiss. Just then, the professor dismissed the class, and that got the girl out of her trance. "Oh, class is over. I should pack up, you just wait here," she said, and placed Jack on the table. As the girl was packing her things, Jack ran to the edge of the table nearest his seat, but hesitated to jump.

"Shit, that's a ways to jump," Jack thought. He looked back to the girl, she was just about finished packing her things. "It could be worth it though".

"Hey, where are you going?". Jack heard the girl talk to him. He turned and found a half confused, half irritated look on her face. "Uh, look. I just need to get on the ground and get back to normal so I can leave, is that cool?". The girl huffed. "But I thought you were going to stay with me? You're so small, after all, and I could use a cool person like you". Jack hesitated, looked back at the chair, but sighed and walked over to the girl. "Listen, I think you're really nice. But just like you, I'm a normal person and I have things to do. Can you understand why I can't be your little pet?" Jack delegated. The girl sighed in disappointment, a look of sadness overcoming her face. "Yeah. Yeah, I understand". She moved to get up and walk away, but Jack called out to her. "Wait! What's your name? Do you have a phone number I can contact you with? Maybe you and I can hang out sometime when I'm back to normal". Just as quickly as she turned sad, the girl's face lit up.

"I'm Madison, and yeah, you can definitely have my number, I'll write it down," she excitedly said and put the note of her number on his backpack. "Well, I'll see you later," she smiled, and walked out of the classroom. Jack heaved a sigh of relief and looked over to the professor's stand. Fortunately, he had already left. Now that the class was empty, Jack quickly returned to normal size, got off of the table, then got his things and left for his next class.

Is his next class just as interesting as his first? Or does Jack move on with the rest of his day?

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Something happens in his next class

2. The rest of Jack's day isn't as eventful

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
