This choice: Go north to the farmhouse • Go Back...Chapter #3Big, Bad Barnyard by: Dylan M As you surmised, traversal will be difficult here. To reach any notable location, you would have to make a significant commitment. A mile alone would be an unwelcome walk, with you barefoot and under summer heat. But the plants around you make navigation through the grass far more arduous. It will be woefully easy to lose direction, and an encounter with an unaware giant herbivore could well be inevitable...
Thus, you sigh as you realize that since you could still make out some part of the barn from this seemingly infinite of green stalks that towered over you, it made sense to head off that way. Besides, there could be someone who you could manage to get help from there.
Not so much you making a choice as it is a lack of options that seemed sensible in your present situation.
With a sigh, you begrudgingly make your way off the discarded can that had served as your meger vantage point and made your way through the forest of grass towards the barn, just barely able to see the top of the roof over the strands of grass around you.
After a while, as you walk towards the barn, many thoughts begin to pass through your mind as you walked, like what will you say to someone who sees you? Will they even give you a chance to do so? Would they take pity upon you in your situation? Would they just think your an insect and kill you as such? Is this even a good idea to begin with?
You shake your head to clear your mind as you then bumped into something in your way and the impact knocked you on your rear, but once you came to your senses, your eyes then widened as you saw a colossal sized Rare Candy still in it's wrapper!
You've seen these things many times before, but none were this big, but that is mostly because you were once at normal standard human height, but now you were less than half of this treat's height.
And then you notice that not too far was another item as it was a Great Ball, just sitting there!
You then make it passed the two items since you couldn't carry either due to your height, but now you're wondering to yourself about why would some people just leave things like those two items sitting there out in the open anyway.
However your were now so into your thoughts you didn't notice until it was too late that you suddenly fell into a hole and when you regained your senses, you then saw much to your shock and ever growing horror, you then realized that this wasn't just a hole... But it was REALLY someone's footprint!
From here you then realized two things:
That you must now be getting closer towards the barn if this footprint your currently laying in is any indication and you then notice it seems to be getting cooler and you then notice that the sun is getting close to setting and you didn't like your chances once the sun fully sets.
So, with those thoughts in mind, you get yourself out of the footprint and much to your luck you can make out other giant footprints leading towards the barn and you begin to run as fast as you go to follow them before the sun fully sets. You wouldn't last long in the dark at your size.
Suddenly, the ground stared to rumble underneath you, so violently that you were knocked off your feet by the tremors.
It didn't take you long to see the source, and you gaped in utter horror at what was coming at you!
It had a white coat, pale blue eyes, and a long, curly mane and tail colored in streaks of pastel cyan and pink. It's horn was a deep violet in color with a spiraling white line running its long length. Its fetlocks were adorned with long pink fur that stored psychic energy, which gave it a swift, airy gait, and it had deep violet hooves.
The Galarian Rapidash! And it was heading RIGHT! FOR! YOU!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
As the massive unicorn like pokemon neared you, the regional variation of the fastest land pokemon suddenly halted, somehow able to stop on a dime and not throw its rider out of the saddle.
You felt your heart hammering as if it were in place of your brain as the Rapidash lowered its muzzle and huffed, leaving you swearing that it locked eyes with you.
Oh right...the Galarian Rapidash was a dual Psychic/Fairy type. Of course it would have sensed your terror-striken thoughts.
"What's with ya, Celestia?" The horse-like Pokémon's rider asked. As if in response, the white horse rose it's head and neighed.
"Somethin' in the grass, girl? Ok, let'see here... "
Getting out of the saddle, you watched as the giantess that had been riding the horse landed on the ground. Seeing the enormous boots smashing their way straight towards you, you really don't have a lot of time to act or even think. One glance over at the gigantic cowgirl's trampling footwear is enough to scare you senseless enough to where you can't move!
Moving over to where her pokemon, Celestia, had loomed over you, she looked down, "Huh? A tiny?" She asked, then frowned, "Whatcha' doin' here, Ii'l varmint?" she says.
"I...I was on my way to the barn..." you stamper.
At that, the cowgirl studied you thoughtfully "That right? What in tarnation are you doin' out of yer cage, Ii'l fella?"
You gulp heavily at that, "I...I don't belong here. But I just needed somewhere safe, especially with how it's getting darker."
Wait...you stop, horrified. Did she say CAGE?!
"I see..." the giantess said, then she smirked in a way that made your heart sink. "In that case, welcome to the farm, varmint! And I know JUST what to do with ya'll!" indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
