The Wonder that is Rome. The world has never seen anything like it. The empire directly controls almost two and a half million square miles, and holds sway through client states beyond that. From the Pillars of Hercules to the shores of the Caspian Sea, from Vallum Antonini to the Sea of Hercules, a fifth of the world's population lives under Pax Romana.

Which means four fifths of the world does not. The Emperor is very curious about that four fifths. So you have been given a commission, along with twenty seasoned Praetorian guards and substantial funds, to map the world beyond the Empire's borders.
