To my surprise, Megan answers the door. "Hey, come on in." I hesitate for a second. I had thought Jess had just invited me to hang out. Clearly, I had misunderstood. Or maybe she had left out the fact that others were invited since she knew I would have avoided coming. Megan grabs my arm and pulls me instead. She leads me downstairs to Jess's game room. The smell of pizza reaches my nose. In addition to Megan, three other girls are here, playing Mario Kart.
Catlin, or Cat for short, is the flirt of the group. Taylor is the smart one, and Lexi is the punk. Jess and Megan are both athletic. All of these girls are attractive in their own way. Suddenly I am self-conscious that I am the only boy here. "Oh, good! You made it," exclaims Jess. "The pizza just arrived."
"Is..uh.. anyone else...uh... coming?" I stutter on the words as I ask the question.
"Nope, this is it. I hope you don't mind you are the only dude," Jess says. I shake my head. While I am a little self-conscious about being around all these pretty girls, for the most part, I do not like hanging out with guys other than Ollie. After their race is over, Jess hands out paper plates and plastic cups. I take two slices of cheese and pour some Dr. Pepper. We sit on the floor, and Jess turns on an episode of The Office. I am impressed that Lexi and Megan can down three pieces plus a breadstick, despite being skinny girls. Lexi places her hand on her stomach at lets out a massive burp.
"Nice one," exclaims Taylor.
After the six of us polish off all the pizza and breadsticks, we take turns playing Super Mario Brothers. I'm not the best, but not as bad as Cat, who can barely stay alive. Next...
