I could see his finger getting far too close to the trigger and I did not want to see what would happen if I got hit by whatever the fuck device this twisted twerp had made. I hopped up for purchase over him and gave him an elbow to chest that made him grunt and swear. He kept cursing and telling me to let go and that I was going to break it. That wasn't a bad idea. I grabbed hold of it if I couldn't get it away from him I'd sure as hell stop it from working. I lifted it up and slammed it into the dirt as hard as I could.

Then a bright green ball of light engulfed the both of us and I realized that I might have made a huge mistake. Because when the light cleared...
