Danielle's body shudders as her spirit re-enters, and Vivienne just sighs. "What is the purpose of a game if none of the players make any interesting moves?"
"You didn't say we have to make 'interesting' moves," Danielle replies, crossing her arms. "You could call it off, y'know."
"Oh no, dear, I think I'll keep going all the way. You never know when someone could play a wild card," says Vivienne. You detect a gleam in her eye on the word "someone." "But for now, it seems we're to go our separate ways. Kyle, you may take your turn now."
As expected, Kyle re-enters his own body, taking quick, deep breaths once he regains control of his lungs. "That...sucked."
"Yes, yes, you're not having fun," says Vivienne. "You've made that much apparent. You may go, I'll see you again in two days."
"But will you, though?" Danielle snips back.
"Oh, I certainly will," Vivienne says simply. "I can warp you all back here at any time, now that you've been here once. More security spells, you see."
You suddenly feel as though you've swallowed a rock. You doubt the rules will be any different in the next round, but the threat of being unable to escape this bizarre "game" still hangs over you. You turn around, grabbing each of your two friends by the wrist. "Let's just go," you say. Kyle doesn't resist, but Danielle wrenches out of your grip just to flip the witch off before following after you.
"Blech. Stupid, stupid witch. I dunno about you guys but I'm not coming back if I can help it."
"Somehow, I don't think she was kidding about being able to warp us back here," you say.
"Yeah? Well let her prove it," Danielle says. "I'm not gonna look like a moron if it turns out she's bluffing."
"I...just don't want to come back," says Kyle. "A-anyway, though, what now?" The question is plainly directed at you, though Kyle doesn't vocalize as much.
