Kyle shrugs, though he gives a nervous glance over his shoulder, back the way you'd come. You can tell he's not too enthusiastic about the idea, just putting on airs, presumably trying not to look like a wimp in front of Derek. Or maybe it's because of Olivia, though you don't think he has the same sort of thing for her that you do.
Olivia herself, meanwhile, is rocking up and down on the balls of her feet, nodding vigorously, while Derek gives an honestly noncommital shrug. You turn back to the blond woman. "Yeah, sure."
"Excellent!" she says, clapping her hands once. "Then I should introduce myself! My name is Vivienne - no, you don't need to tell me yours, I already know. Kyle, Derek, Olivia, and Tim, right? Part of the wards around my cabin. Now, can I offer any of you a drink?"
Kyle shakes his head. "I'm good, not really thirsty!"
"Just water, if you have it," says Derek.
"I'm okay for now," says Olivia. "Buuut, if you have anything cool, maybe we can talk about it!"
"Unfortunately, I'm currently out of fresh water," Vivienne says. "So, no drinks, then. So, let me ask, what brings you four to this part of the woods? There's nothing around for quite some distance."
Kyle, Derek and Olivia all turn to look at you. You'd refused to give a reason why you wanted them to come out here with you, and now that you've been put on the spot, you can't actually think what that reason is.
"Uh, well, y'see, the, uh, the thing is, I mean, there's, uh...no special reason."
"No special reason," Vivienne repeats playfully. "Right, so you guys just stumbled on a cabin in the woods, with no color to speak of in the trees, grass or even the sky, and you just kept going?"
"I mean, I got curious when I saw that," you admit. "Do you know something, then?"
"I do," the blond woman replies. "You see, I happen to be a witch. One of my earlier spells prevents me from directly leaving this cabin - it was an accident, but I can't figure a counter-spell - and another drained all the color from the woods nearby. Exactly how nearby I'm not sure, that was after I locked myself in. After that, I started to specialize in potion-brewing, but I do still dabble in targeted spells."
The four of you exchange glances. Olivia is jittery, Kyle fidgety, and Derek...Derek just looks fed up. "Okay, right, so you're saying you're...a witch. A magic woman."
"I am."
"...You're aware magic doesn't exist, right?"
Vivienne laughs. "Oh, please. Most witches, wizards, warlocks and sorcerors happen to be very good at covering their tracks. Most likely because we can, oh right, bend the fabric of reality to our will. I could teleport you all back home and make you forget you were ever here, but I'm bored and, frankly, a little lonely. I'd be quite happy to prove myself to you, if you'd like."
"Please do," Derek says dryly.
Vivienne snaps her fingers, and in an instant she transforms into the picture of a stereotypical old witch - scraggly black hair, green skin, hooked nose, the whole nine yards. Her voice gives her away as the same person. "So? Satisfied? Or are you going to insist that it's a light-show and force me to do something to all four of you?"
"We're fine, we're fine!" says Kyle quickly. "Really, it's okay, I believe you!"
Derek shoots him a fed up glance, while Olivia stares wide-eyed at Vivienne. "That's so cool..."
Vivienne snaps her fingers again, returning to her attractive, blond form. "Ta-da! Any other requests?"
