Hope nodded, taking a step forward. "Sure, it's been kind of a long walk. Thank you, Ms...?"
"Oh, I'm sorry!" said the blond woman. "I completely forgot to introduce myself, my name is Vivienne. And you two would be...Tim and Hope, yes?"
"Two?" you repeat, turning around. Kyle had already snuck off, and Danielle was just disappearing into the treeline. "...Ah."
"Seems your friends are a little more reserved than you guys," said Vivienne. "Well, I suppose it doesn't make much difference now. It'd be a little rude to force them back here. So, Tim, I take it you're interested in staying around, too?"
You shrug. "Sure, why not?"
You and Hope end up sitting beside each other on the couch (had that been there when you entered?) while Vivienne brought back a stone tray containing several mugs of...some kind of liquid. One glowed blue, another purple. A third was orange, and several were filled with a brown substance that looked no different from coffee.
"What are all these?" you ask.
"Potions," replies Vivienne. "Well, the rainbow-y ones are, anyway. There's also three mugs of coffee."
"Potions?" says Hope. "As in, magic potions." There's a certain skepticism in her voice, and you can't blame her. Then again, you've never seen drinks in such vibrant neon colors before.
"That's right," says Vivienne. "I'm sure you've gathered from just looking around my home, but I'm a practitioner of magic. Or, to put it more simply, a witch."
"You're not cackling, and your skin isn't green," you observe.
Vivienne chuckles and snaps her fingers. In an instant, she much more closely resembles your description, her skin green and mottled, her nose long and hooked, her hair dark and scraggly. She lets out a raucous cackle, causing both you and Hope to jump a bit, but then snaps her fingers once more and returns to her attractive, blond appearance. "Convinced?" she asks playfully.
"Yyyyes," replies Hope cautiously, while you give a quiet nod. "Then, if I may ask, what do these potions of yours do?"
"That, my dear, is a surprise," says Vivienne. "And if you don't like surprises, feel free to take the coffee instead."
You exchange a glance with Hope, then look at the tray of drinks.
