After waking up as a girl, how will you live your life?

This choice: She makes it to the bus on time  •  Go Back...
Chapter #6

She makes it to the bus on time

by: Komfy Kat Author IconMail Icon
She ran out of her room and down the stairs, running past her siblings on the way as they called out to her. She hurried out the door and down the street towards the bus stop, knowing that she had to hurry or she was going to miss her bus. She couldn't afford to be late for school, or she'd have to spend the day in detention.

Her belly clenched in discomfort as she ran, her undigested meal weighing heavy in her stomach, and she felt queasy as she came to a stop at her bus stop. She watched as the bus pulled up, and she stepped onto it, heading towards the back and finding an empty seat. It was strange being on her own; it was the first time she'd been alone and away from her house since her transformation.

She bit her lip as she felt the bus bump over a speedbump, making her gut stretch as a ripple of nausea surged through her. She clenched her gut, trying to dispel the feeling of overfullness as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her cell phone, opening up a social networking site and checking it. It was boring, but it helped pass the time. She could only imagine how boring it would be without her phone to keep her occupied.

The bus ride was slow and filled with bumps in the road. Some bumps made her stomach feel like it was going to surge up into her throat, making her want to throw up everything she'd eaten. It felt like she had been sitting on that bus for hours before finally arriving at her destination. She looked out the window at the small elementary school. It had a very modern look that seemed to contrast with the forest that encroached on the edges of the school. She waited until the bus came to a stop and followed the few other children out into the crisp, fresh air. She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath as the scent of pine and moss filled her nose.

There was definitely something peaceful about this place that made Cat both happy and sad. She was happy that this was her new home and that she'd be safe here, but she was also sad because she knew that her goal of getting fatter would eventually prevent her from returning to this forest as herself. She bit her lip as she made her way down the sidewalk, looking around as she passed by her new classmates. She walked like the other children, her footsteps quiet as she kept her head down, staring at her feet as she shuffled them along.

She relied on Cat's memories to guide her to where she needed to go and found herself standing in the front of her first classroom. She looked around, absently running her hand down her bloated belly as she looked around the room. For how modern the building looked, this classroom really seemed to bring back a sense of nostalgia for her. It reminded her of the classroom she'd had when she'd been in third grade as David. There were desks in rows, facing the front where a teacher was sitting at a desk reading a book while waiting for school to start. A couple of kids were chatting and laughing, while a few others were drawing or reading or browsing their phones. The biggest difference Cat noticed from the first time she'd been through third grade was that each desk had a laptop computer that the kids used in their studies.

None of the children seemed to pay her any mind as she stepped into the classroom and made her way towards her desk. She sat down, sliding her bookbag beneath her chair as she looked around at her neighbors. The kid to her left was a blonde boy named Chad, and the kid to her right was a brunette girl named Kelly. Cat raised a hand to her head, running her fingers through her hair as she watched as the teacher stood and started writing about geography on the whiteboard. Cat struggled to pay attention as her mind worked on taking in her surroundings and digesting the information the teacher was presenting.

It was almost too much for her. She was eager for school to be over, so she could get on and do something relaxing. She wished she could do something fun. Maybe go hiking or for a walk in the woods, or even play some video games, though she had a feeling she was going to be playing more video games than ever.

The bell rang, making her jump in surprise as she looked around, gasping quietly as she realized she had only about 15 minutes left to go before lunch. Her stomach rumbled, and she winced. She shifted her weight, trying to sit comfortably.

"Awww, Cat, you look bored," Kelly taunted from her desk beside hers.

Cat raised an eyebrow in confusion before turning to the girl, "What?"

"Well, obviously, you missed how Mrs. Hemsworth said we could do whatever we want until lunch starts," Kelly smirked, "It really seems like you've been out of it lately, though."

"She... did?" Cat asked, turning to see several other kids chatting or standing up to walk around the room.

"Yeah, silly," Kelly said, "were you really not paying attention at all?"

"I ... guess not," Cat admitted, looking around at the other kids.

"So, uh, what are you going to do until lunch?" Kelly asked.

"Um... I'm really sure," Cat admitted, "I guess I'll, um..."

Honestly, she just wanted to eat. She was starving, but she knew she couldn't go to lunch early, and so she really had no idea what she wanted to do to pass the time.

"Did you want to play a game?" Kelly asked, a smile on her face.

"A... game?"

"Yeah, you dork! We could go play with the hula-hoops or play tag or hacky-sack," Kelly said, getting to her feet and looking eagerly at Cat, "besides, you look like you could use some exercise. I swear every time I see you, your belly looks a little bigger."

Cat instinctively glanced at her belly, surprised to see it had shrunk down significantly since her breakfast; however, it was still noticeable through her shirt. Still, she knew Kelly was just trying to be nice, so she smiled, "Yeah, um, sure. That, um, sounds like a good idea."

"Awesome! Let's go," Kelly said excitedly.

Cat spent the next ten minutes playing with Kelly while she waited for lunch to start, though her hunger kept her from really focusing on the games they were playing. Still, she couldn't deny that she had fun, and Kelly seemed to have a good time as well, so it wasn't like it was horrible. Besides, it wasn't like this would really negate her recent binge eating that much.

Finally, the bell rang for lunch, and everyone lined up at the door as they waited to be led to the lunchroom by the teacher. Cat couldn't wait for lunch, though if it were anything like she remembered from her time as David, it definitely wouldn't be enough to satisfy her massive hunger. She frowned at her greedy belly, wondering what she'd do.

She shuffled along towards the lunchroom, following the line of kids as Mrs. Hemsworth led them down several halls. The faint smell of food grew stronger as they got closer, and she found herself eagerly inhaling the scent with each whiff of air. Finally, they stopped at a pair of double doors, and Mrs. Hemsworth led them inside, a sudden wave of fresh air washing over them as a large cafeteria came into view.

Cat and Kelly stood in line for food and stood patiently next to each other as they watched the line move forward. It was crazy to think that she couldn't even imagine eating any more than one helping of food only a few months ago. She was still surprised that her belly had gotten so large, though she couldn't deny she'd done it literally to her own life. She used to have a normal appetite, but then everything had changed when her mother had started encouraging her and her siblings to eat more.

Finally, it was her turn at the counter. She stepped up, staring at the mass of food in front of her. There was pizza, fries, chicken fingers, and a variety of other basic snacks. It was hot, and it smelled delicious, and all of it seemed so enticing. She was surprised when the lady behind the counter asked, "Well, Cat, how much do you want to eat today? You've definitely had quite the appetite lately."
