First a quick choice: Main character and some setup.
1) Mark Hanson- 25 year old Rich kid setting up in a small town somewhere, needing multiple help in his modest (or so he thinks) house. His dad's money helps him get whatever he needs, but he is fed up with the city life and wants to start over somewhere picturesque and aims to hire locally. He is rather out of touch with real life, having been rather pampered in the past, unprepared for going it 'alone' in the world.
2) Lilly Denning- A 30 year old Nature photographer has moved to a backward part of another continent from her home in a world where monster people are common, and is set up in near a town of Octopeople as she heads to the wilderness for her photoshoots every other day. She finds herself accidentally hiring a maid, misunderstanding local customs (and the language, though she knows enough to get by) and is sort of confused over what is going on.
3) Andrew Milford- 18 year old boy finds he's inherited his father's rundown estate outside of town. He also finds the four maids of the house are rather strange. Monsters are unknown in this world, but the maids seem completely oblivious, acting as if girl's with eight legs are totally normal. They are also rather... insistent in their duties.
4) Ophelia Richards- 18 year old girl gets drunk one night, and wakes up the next day to find she's somehow 'hired' a strange maid from her drinking partner. Now she has to find how to manage her life with a maid in a rather small apartment with one bedroom
