No, she doesn't notice the pendant.

Angela Crittenden didn't notice the pendant as Vanessa kept the box behind her back not letting her mother notice it. It was a horrible torture as always. Why she was late? Why she looked so proper? Why Vanessa didn't say anything when Angela was talking to her. It was torture as always. Finally enough was enough as Angela noticed the time. She was going to a charity event, one which required her all glittering presence. Vanessa had to admit her mother looked perfect; her long blond hair brushed perfect, the right amount of make-up, the dress which showed cleavage but wasn't too slutty. It was only the inside that was rotten, Vanessa thought as her mother stood up and make her way to the door as she went upstairs to get a necklace to wear. Vanessa was happy she kept her necklace hidden, or else her mother would surely grabbed it from her. She bought it after all with her parent's money. When she heard her mother's heels finally no more, Vanessa decided to leave the study room and made her way to the kitchen. Luckily the staff counted on her arrival and had already prepared a meal for her. She then took it with her upstairs as she was going to eat it in her room. She usually ate there on the count that her parents were never home.
Inside her room Vanessa lied down on her expensive bed. She grabbed the box and held up the pendant she bought. It was gorgeous. Vanessa then decided on wearing the pendant, putting it on her neck. She then decided on doing her homework while texting with Rebecca. She wasn't sure whether to call Rebecca her friend or not. It felt more like a lord-servant relationship then anything else. Then when she was done with her homework she wished Rebecca a good night and got out of her clothes and put on her sleeping wear. A pink expensive silk nightgown. Not troubling to put the pendant off she fell asleep, hoping for a better life.
When the clock hit 12:00 o'clock, the amulet gave off a bright light and without the girl's consent Vanessa's spiritual form pulled away from her sleeping body. She was taken away somewhere else, but where? Underneath the bright white moon she came across the spiritual form of someone else who was being pulled away from their body. Who was it?
