Krillin stood awkwardly beside a comically oversized SUV parked in front of the “Bailey” residency. He checked his watch, then adjusted his shirt, a nervous tic he'd developed since becoming the Bailey family's… well, official chauffeur.
At this point he was one of the only people to see the family on a regular basis.
He watched as Chi-Chi, now a magnificent 750lbs of rounded curves and maternal anxiety, waddled down the porch steps. Her immense frame seemed to defy gravity, her custom-made dress straining at the seams. Gohan nervously strutted behind her, his clothing fitting snuggly on his giant frame.
I swear, they just get bigger and bigger each week! Krillin exclaimed in his head.
"Thank you so much for doing this, Krillin" she said, her voice a surprisingly gentle counterpoint to her imposing size.
"No problem, Chi-Chi. Just doing my part.” He mentally revised his will. If this mission went south, he wanted it on record that he'd died for his friends. Gohan finally emerged from the house, waddling slowly, his belly swaying precariously.
"Ready, kiddo?" Krillin asked, trying to inject some enthusiasm into his voice. Gohan mumbled something unintelligible and squeezed himself into the back seat of the SUV.
As Krillin pulled out of the driveway, he glanced in the rearview mirror at Gohan. The boy was staring out the window, a mixture of apprehension and resignation on his face.
"Don't worry, kid," Krillin said, trying to sound reassuring. "Just be yourself. Or, you know, Robin Bailey, or whatever.”
