In a small village close to a large forest lived a wonderful family.
The father was a strong lumberjack, helping the village with fresh wood from the neighboring forest. The mother was a caring loving wife, often out giving a helping hand in the village and sometimes off in the forest bringing supplies to the grandmother and a mysterious aunt.
Then there was the little red ridding hood. "Lil' red" people called her. She wasn't very tall but the cute little teen was very beautiful and always brought a smile to the village. Her hair was a shining ginger, falling down to her hips, she often braided them in order to keep them tidy under her red hood. Hood she wore as a cape behind her, a pretty accessory granting her surname. Often she would follow her mother on her wooded quest, helping with the supplies and keeping company. Her mother had her at a young age so after the years the resemblance between the two grew closer and closer.
Lil' red's birthday was approaching, and she noticed her parents being somewhat closer than usual. Often they would disappear in the forest for hours before returning home exhausted. She would attempt to follow them but would always loose them before being interrupted by some grunting and high pitch panting. Her innocence forced her on her way back every time and she would find her parents again, out of breath...
This charade would go on for sometime before one day her mother turned out ill. Lil' red was worried of course and kept going on about their dangerous sorties. To which they would both laugh, patting her head to reassure her, nothing dangerous was happening.
The local apothecary arrived one morning and examined the mother, passing her hand over her lower stomach. Getting a feel for her chest. They exchanged words that Lil' red couldn't understand before seeing them happy all over sudden. Lil' red could hold back no longer and rushed to her mother expressing her relief in a great hug. They all stood stunned and confused before the father announced to Lil' red in his deep timbre.
-"It seems for your next birthday you will have a gift in advance." he chuckled.
-"The family will be growing dear with new siblings to care for." Her mother smiled, laying a hand over her abdomen.
Lil' red grew the largest of smiles before rushing outside announcing the news to everyone.
The question on every body's mind now was, how many was she having?
