Refuse. She orders you to be her servant and OBEY

“Servant boy!?! No way this has gone on for long enough!” You say outraged.

“Long enough? No, no, no… We are just getting started dear brother. You will be my servant. Obey!” Jennifer says matter-of-factly.

“No. I’m done Jennifer.” You say as you walked away. The enchantments power broke and you were freed from its curse.

Why didn’t this work? Had the enchantment wore off? Maybe she would need to cast it again. She rushed to her room and could not find the book. She returned to the store and the gypsy had the spell book in hand. “I warned you that you must not use this for evil.” The gypsy said, anticipating Jennifer’s question before it was asked.

“We are getting along so well now. I will train him to be the best brother.” Jennifer pleads.

“That is because he is obeying your every order. It is not the same. You were trying to enslave this poor boy. Everyone must have some amount of free will. I warned you of the consequences. Now your right to use this book is revoked. I should have known that you were not yet ready to wield its power. You cannot enslave people. A simple command is one thing, but not enslavement.”

“But I am ready! I swear! Please, I made a mistake.” She pleads. But, she is secretly calculating how to continue ruling over Ryan. Either make him a willing servant, or find a way to get away with using black magic.

“Hmm perhaps you should try to prove your worth with a lesser item?”

The shop is filled with strange trinkets of all shapes and sizes. Some, presumably the most valuable, were cased in well protected and out of reach cases. They seemed to have a glow of enchantment protecting them.
