“So I can tell you how to dress and you will have to obey?” You say in a purposely sinister voice.
“Obviously!" She looked at you, still angry, but a bit suspicious as well. "Wait, what are you going to do? I thought we were friends.”
“Just kidding!” You joke. "Amelia, you can wear your sweater in the apartment
“That was mean! I really thought you were going to say something horrible!” She says and lightly hits your arm, but her anger is clearly gone as she smiles despite herself, scoops up her discarded hoodie, and slips it on.
"But seriously, remember the thing you always wanted to do? With this new power, I can make it happen.” You timidly propose.
She looks at you quizzingly. “What do you mean? I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“So you don’t remember coming home every few weeks or so, pissed drunk, ranting on and on about how skirts and dresses are sexist?” You remind her. "How you think they symbolize the oppression of women in professional environments?"
“Um. Well, that is true.” She replies reluctantly. “Wait, are you saying I don’t have to wear that stupid skirt to work anymore? Or anymore sundresses when my Mom drags me with her to church?”
“If you want..." You say smugly. "...for a price that is.”
“This is so great!" She beams at you, clearly forgiven you for making her take her hoodie off. "I can’t wait to-. Wait a second, what price?”
You leave her in suspense while you walt around the kitchen, making a bowl of cereal. her patience runs out as you pour the milk.
“Come on Jack! Tell me.”
“The price is that you cannot where pants or shorts either.” You finally tell her. Her face is hard to read. There is still a grin on her face from the good news, but a shadow of worry is there as well.
“Oh, come on! That’s…thats....” She stuttered out, unable to really speak
“Okay Amelia.' You interrupt. "You are no longer allowed to wear any dresses, skirts, shorts, or pants anywhere. Ever again.” You say.
Amelia gapes at you as her body automatically began shuffling out of her shorts. She squealed and crouched down trying to cover up her legs.
You chuckle. "Alrighty then, that's the price of you not wearing skirts anymore."
