Chapter #3

John

"Wake up gang, we're here!" John said cheerfully as he pulled up to his newly bought 2-story house. Muffled voices could be heard throughout the family's SUV, as John was the only one to remain awake during the families' 2-hour drive. He checked the rearview mirror and caught the eye of the two moving trucks that had been following their car over to the new house. The whole reason for the move was for John to be closer to his companies warehouse, as well as find a larger lodging to accompany the demands of his job at home, and the size of his family. Their old home was nice, but it became crammed after a while. Especially since his two oldest children were forced to share a room after Sarah moved back into the house (he had converted her old room into his office/workspace, so she had to move into Joey's room).

"Sheesh, you'd think you guys would be more excited to see your new digs" John complained, as he unbuckled his seatbelt and opened his car door.

His wife, Arianna, had woken up since they got there, and stretched while letting out a yawning reply, "We are baby, it's just tough to be optimistic when all we saw were business parks and traffic on the way here".

"Yeah, yeah. Just make sure you're all up and ready when the movers get settled. We'll need all the manpower we can get" he said, shutting his car door.

The lead van honked their horn, prompting themselves and the trailing van to pull over in front of the Ramos' new house. The lead van pulled up next to John, "Hey Mr. Ramos, is it this big one on the left? For sure, me and the guys will start unloading, you just tell us where to put everything."

"I can have my family help you guys out if you need it!" John suggested, but was met with the head mover shaking his head. "It's no problem Mr. Ramos. You guys just tell us where to put everything, and let us do our job. It'll be done in a jiffy". John walked over to his car and tapped on the window. Arianna rolled down the driver's side window from her side and smiled at her husband. "Well honey? What'd he have to say?".

"Well, he basically said that they'd do all the heavy lifting, but you guy need to be attentive and tell them where to put everything. So up and at em! Go tell those gentlemen what to do with your stuff!", John barked at his kids.

One by one, all four of his children shuffled out of the van groggily and met up with the movers.

"It was such a smart idea to hire them, John. I couldn't do all that work after being in the car this long" Arianna confessed.

"I know Ari, luckily one of my employees is related to the head mover so I'm getting a sweet discount on this all. Go figure".

"Hey, Mr. Ramos! This is a box of your belongings! Mind showing me where to put it?" one of the workers hollered from the back of their van.

"Sure thing!, Follow me to: "
