When Chas started potty-training Chuckie at the age of two, Stu and Didi had helped him with that and Chuckie was successfully potty-trained. Didi and Stu had both been considering potty-training Tommy so that they would have less diapers to change, especially after Dil was born. However, Didi decided it was better to let Tommy enjoy being a baby with his friends than to try to force him to use the potty. She and Stu decided to wait until Tommy showed interest in using the potty before attempting to potty-train him. Chuckie was reluctant to use the potty when he turned two, but Tommy was braver than he was.
Nearly a year had passed since Chuckie had been potty-trained. Chuckie was now three, Phil and Lil were now two, Kimi was now two and a half, and Dil was almost a year old. Tommy himself was about to turn two. Personality-wise, he was still more or less the same, but he had grown physically. He had grown some hair and teeth, and he was a little taller. He still wore the same outfit of a light blue t-shirt and a white diaper, but they had gotten a little short on him. As his second birthday was coming up, Stu and Didi had bought him some new clothes that would fit him. It was also around this time that they decided to get him his own potty chair to use, since his friends were all now potty-trained and wearing underwear.
The day of Tommy's second birthday soon came. Tommy's friends came and had a wonderful time, getting to eat cake and play party games. Afterwards, it was time for Tommy to open his presents.
