"Well, if I'm gonna get out of this mess, I'd better find help," Lincoln said. "I just hope my sisters will be able to help me." Lincoln decided that he needed to find one of his little sisters so that they could help him find a way to get back to normal. Which meant that he would have to run into the gigantic hallway in front of him and risk trying to avoid getting stepped on by all of the gigantic elementary school kids around him.
He took a deep breath and looked toward the hallway, getting ready for the difficult and dangerous journey ahead of him. Lincoln still stood where he was as he took a stance and waited for the number of kids wandering the halls to die down a little. After a few minutes, it was finally the perfect time for the shrunken boy to make his way through the harsh landscape.
"Okay. And. Here. I. GO!!!" Lincoln shouted as he started running through the middle of the halls. However, at his current stature, it was obvious that his trek through the halls was going to take a lot longer than he thought. After all, with the halls being so long and him being so small, reaching his sisters' classrooms could take forever.
A few minutes of hard running later, along with a few close calls of being stepped on by a few unaware students scouring the halls, Lincoln was beginning to get tired and ran out of breath. So with his last bit of energy, he made a daring escape from the middle of the corridor and sat back at the far side of the hallway to catch his breath.
"Oh man. This isn't working," he said as he panted heavily. "There's no way I'll even be able to find my sisters before the school day ends. There's gotta be another way for me to get to them faster." Lincoln looked too where he ran from and saw how far he came. If he had a ruler at the moment, then he would've measured the distance he ran to be at least a foot and a half. He groaned at the small amount of progress he made and hung his head down in sadness.
"Why do these things always happen to me?" he asked dejectedly. "I'll never make it to them in time." Lincoln was just about ready to give up but then he looked around him once more hoping to find something to help make this situation better. He looked both ways and found. It seemed like there was truly no way for him to get to his sisters before the school bell rang. But then, out of nowhere, Lincoln saw something that gave him an idea, one that he hoped would be his salvation.
