Stephanie looked up as the door chimed upon upon opening. And through it stepped perhaps the most conspicuously inconspicuous character she'd ever laid eyes on.
The tall individual was dressed in a long coat that hung past her knees, to the point any skirt or leg coverings were hidden from view. A hood had been pulled up and the clasps at the rim attached around her long horns to cover most of her head. And on top of all that she had on a thin face covering scarf and sunglasses.
All this while the outside temperature was nearing the range of ninety degrees.
It wasn't hard to guess just who this 'mysterious figure' was really, but Stephanie smiled and waited, letting her peruse the shelves of various items as she mad her way back to towards the counter. She had just about meandered her way back to the counter when the goat owner smiled and said, "It's not often we get a celebrity in this shop." The start the female gave was all the confirmation she needed.
"What? I don't..." the cloaked figure began.
"Come on," Stephanie smiled as she slide around the counter, "In this heat? No one would dress like this unless they felt they needed to."
The hooded figure heaved a sigh. "That obvious huh?" She pulled down the hood before sliding off the sunglasses and scarf. "I really hoped no one would notice me." Gazelle flushed (though it might have been she was simply hot under the coat).
"My dear, such is the price of fame," the goat gave a warm, friendly chuckle, "So tell me, what brings you of all animals to my shop?"
Gazelle fidgeted and Stephanie had the unusual mental image of a child looking sheepish in front of an adult, despite Gazelle had both a head and neck on her in terms of height. "It's... not an easy topic to discuss. I came looking because I heard somewhere that your shop has some unusual products to help with some unusual situations."
"That may be," Stephanie agreed, "But I'm not sure how helpful I can be if I'm not told what the problem is."
Again Gazelle fidgeted and looked around, as if afraid someone might overhear. "Can I trust you to keep things secret?"
"The mere fact you found my little hole in the wall shop should be proof of that," Stephanie smiled, "But if you need reassurances then yes I can keep your secret."
Gazelle heaved another deep breath as if psyching herself up. Finally she let it out and began...
1.) Gazelle shows she's put on weight (a unbelievably tiny amount in reality). It doesn't bother her, but her manager is threatening her with a lifestyle she doesn't want. She wants some help avoiding a intolerable diet of salads and greens, even if that means her weight will continue to climb.
2.) Gazelle is fearful her act is getting stale. Though the crowds seem as large as ever her manager says ticket sales are going down. She needs to come up with something 'unique' to spice up the act. And Gazelle's idea is more than a little 'unconventional'.
3.) Gazelle was nearly mobbed by some large animals recently and she gained a fear of being trampled. She wishes she could be bigger, both so more animals could see her perform and to know what it feels like to be intimidating for once.
4.) Gazelle has a secret she's never told anyone. Ever since high school she's fought with her gender identity. Being bisexual she's not sure where she stands and wishes she could appeal to both genders somehow.
