Chapter #2

1 week

You felt the weirdest sensation, as if your soul completely severed its connection from your body and you found yourself now floating in some strange environment, with nothing around you but not feeling like the air you used to know back then when you still had a body.

You could barely understand what was going on, how were you able to think with your brain down there? what would happen to your body? was this what you heard was called an astral projection? But you didn't have any time to wonder about any of this because a white light blinded you and suddenly you were back on the place you were when you touched that medallion, still in hand, still marking one week to that day your grandfather died.

"What the fuck was that" you thought to yourself as you almost drop the medallion but decided to set it down on the floor gently instead, and stopped your cleaning duties to calm yourself down. You gently breathed and made a little check moving your arms and legs to make sure your body still felt like your body, sure enough the experience as you knew it was the same, with all its pros and cons.

A few minutes passed and you were able to reclaim your senses and start using your rational mind once again, figuring out that it was probably an astral projection (what else could it be?) and it might be involved with the medallion, probably even induced after reading the nonsense in the note. You checked your phone and it didn't matter that you selected a week, there was no time travel involved whatsoever.

You shook your head and tried to refocus on your task but something stopped you, the "after setting the dial, be careful what you touch" part. What did that mean? you were touching things but nothing was happening. You noticed your heart was beating a bit faster than usual, fearing that something else would happen even if your brain kept telling you that you were touching the note, your phone, the floor and other things so everything was going to be fine.

Sighing, you wondered if you should take a break taking a little walk around the neighborhood or you should force yourself to finish cleaning.

What happens next?
