This choice: Prior to the bet beginning, Lucy comes and joins the two • Go Back...Chapter #5Prior to the bet beginning, Lucy comes and joins by: Tisch   "Whatcha guys up to?". Just as Izzy and Jack were going to start their bet, Lucy walked in to spectate. "Lucy! Great timing, Jack and I had a little bet about his sciene project. We're going to race and if he wins, we forget about it, but if I win, we'll get to learn what it is and toy with it" Izzy explained. "Awesome! " Lucy giddly exclaimed. She sat down behind Jack, then the two initaited their race.
For the majority of the race, Jack was in control. Nearly lapping Izzy on the third of five laps, he had no doubt in his mind that he was going to win. That was, until Lucy let out a little gas and threw him off his game.
"Oh! Lucy, that's horrid!" Jack yelled, covering his nose and letting a hand off his controller. Izzy, who was far enough away from the gas attack, laughed and continued to race, making up substantial ground. After the distraction, Izzy was ahead of Jack on the last lap of the race. Jack was beginning to get nervous. He tried anything that he could do to slow down Izzy, but it seemed that little to no tactics could get the job done. By the end of the race, Izzy was well ahead of Jack and it was clear that she had won.
"YES!" Izzy excitedly yelled. Jack threw his head in his hands and sighed. Lucy, who had played a large role in Izzy's victory, was also gratified and smiling. "Okie dokie, Jackaroo, go get it. A bet is a bet" Izzy laughed. Reluctantly, Jack got up and went to retrieve his machine. A few moments later, he returned to the girls' delight.
"Okay guys, here it is. My science project. The shrink ray. In all actuality, I got it off the internet but it still counted as a good grade" Jack said. The girls were ecstatic. "Wow.... I can't believe it. What are we going to test it out on first?" Lucy put in. Izzy grinned. "Don't you know? Jack volunteered himself as the test subject". Jack shook his head. "Absolutely not, this is not a toy, that would not be okay". The girls rolled their eyes. "Quit being such a baby," Izzy mocked, "gimme that thing". She grabbed the shrink ray and pointed it at Jack. "Whoa!" he exclaimed, "be carefult, Izzy. You don't know how to use th--". In a flash, Jack was brought down to just a mere three inches.
"It works!" Izzy giggled. Lucy smiled. Her and Izzy thought the same thing: "This is going to be fun". Without hesitating, Izzy scooped up Jack and brought him to her and Lucy's gleaming visages. "So, 'little' bro, what shall we do first with you so tiny?" Izzy inquired. "Possibly getting me back to normal!" Jack screamed. The girls laughed. "No, Jack" put in Lucy, "a deal's a deal, you have to play with us". Jack gulped and conceded. "FIne, what do you guys have in mind?"
