Dipper's tiny voice was finally able to reach Mabel's eardrums. Unfortunately for him, Mabel made a sudden movement that made Dipper lose his balance and fall off her shoulder.
"Wahhh!" Dipper cried as his tiny form went tumbling down the front of his sister's sweater. Luckily he was able to stop his descent down his titanic twin, by grabbing ahold of the fabric. It was as if the tiny boy was clinging to a cliffside by his fingertips. Dipper realized he was dangling from what seemed like a hundred feet above the ground. He was relieved that he hadn't fallen to his demise but was annoyed that he was once again holding onto Mabel's sweater for dear life.
"Dipper?" Mabel called out. "I know I heard him that time." Mabel's eyes scanned that gift shop for any signs of Dipper but saw nothing. "Wait, did you turn yourself invisible?" Mabel asked. With that said the excitable girl started to feel around for her sibling that may or may not have been there. "Where is he? I can't see him anywhere!" Mabel said while looking around the shop and walking in circles.
Unbeknownst to her, Dipper was holding on for his life as she walked around and searched for him. He was starting to have second thoughts about getting Mabel's attention but knew he had to keep trying.
Mabel stopped in her tracks, nearly causing Dipper to lose his grip. "Wait a minute? I know what's going on!" He heard Mabel announce from above. Dipper's hopes were rising, and he knew that she was about to find him, but instead, he heard her say, "You're trying to prank me!" Mabel shouted, which made Dipper's heart drop to the ground. "Seriously!?" he said with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance.
"Well, whatever you're up to, I'm not going to fall for it," Mabel explained. "I'm too smart to fall for your tricks."
Dipper sighed and silently wished he had just gone looking for Soos' help instead of trying to get Mabel's attention. "Okay, climbing up to her shoulder didn't work out so well. Maybe I should just..."
Before Dipper could finish his thoughts, the door to the gift shop swung open. It was Mabel's friends, Grenda and Candy. They both had huge smiles on their faces. This made Dipper gulp in fear he knew what was about to happen next.
"Hey, girl!" Grenda called out, her unusually deep voice sounding even deeper to the minuscule Dipper.
"Hug her to death!" Candy said before both girls sprinted towards Mabel.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!" Dipper panicked as the two giantesses approached. He could hear the crashing of their thunderous footsteps coming closer. Dipper was a sitting duck from where he was and knew he couldn't escape. "Mabel! Help!" he screamed as he hung from Mabel's sweater by the tips of his fingers.
Dipper watched in horror as the two girls ran up to Mabel and wrapped their arms tightly around her, in a group hug.
