One of the things that the Entity enjoyed was the ability to freely change up its ‘mortal’ life. Over the last several millennia, finding a ‘better’ or more interesting body became sort of a game that it referred to as “hunts”.
By now, the Entity had experienced life from practically every possible angle. However, with the rise of western nations in the last few centuries, it started to prefer being a women over being a man since they were often overlooked, given less responsibilities and had it better when it came to sex. The last time the Entity took on the life and body of a king, it quickly became tiresome and ruling as a woman was no better either. Mortals were rather easy to govern but it didn't feel very rewarding; which was why it had passed off Cleopatra’s magnificent form to an overly ambitious courtesan back in the day. Had it known that Mark Anthony would eventually come along, it would have stayed as Queen Cleopatra a while longer.
While the Entity wasn’t necessarily evil, it was also far from benevolent. After all, its sole existence was to steal someone else’s body and enjoy their lives until it became bored with them.
Presently, the Entity is occupying a woman’s body but feels like now is the right time to move on. At first, the Entity considered going back to being a man again for the sake of being different but it didn’t see much of a point since modern society had diminished most of their historical advantages...
