"So, I guess you know why you here?" The world renowned scientist Dr Jade-Clay (whom I will refer to as The Dr for ease of use) to a local girl named Katalin Jean-Troy.
"Yes," says Katalin "I applied to test some devices at your lab"
Katalin looks around, seeing the spacey lab, with lots of devices and machines, some whirring, some clanking, and in the corner of the room sat a strange ginger cat in a basket with comfy cushions.
"Good. We will start with testing the-" The Dr says
"Dr Jade-Clay, what is that over there? And what is that?" Katalin asks, while pointing to a weird looking piece of equipment with several pieces of equipment around it
"That my dear, is my experimental Growth Ray, and the highly dangerous Time Altering Clock, but that isn't important right now." The Dr says, "We will start with testing the teleportation device. I trust you know about Quantum Mechanics?"
"Yes," replies Katalin "I learnt about it on YouTube. Isn't it where you link a particle to another then send ones to the other?"
"Well, Quantum Mechanics is a broarder field that that," The Dr replies "But your understanding is good enough. Please step on the white pad on the floor to your left. ALBERT!?"
"YES?!" Shouts a voice (Albert's) from the large study room at the back of the room.
"COME HERE!" She shouts back
30 seconds later, Albert walked out of the study.
"Katalin, this is Albert, my lab assistant, Albert, this is Katalin Jean-Troy, the only applicant for the tests." The Dr announces "So Albert, get into position"
Albert walks over to a screen behind the white pad, and starts rapidly typing on the digital display
"Its all set up, Dr!" Exclaims Albert
"Excellent, fire it up and record the results afterwards." The Dr says.
"15, 14, 13," Chimes the smooth mechanical voice issuing from the screen "12, 11, 10,"
Suddenly, the ginger cat rushes forward, knocks the Time Altering Clock off a table, which flies in the air and landed on the white pad, knocks Albert over with surprising strength, jumps on the screen, altering essential information, and leaps onto Katalin.
"1, 0" chimes the screen voice
Suddenly, there was a flash of light, where Katalin feels a little tingly), and then a few seconds after, another flash of light appeared over the growth ray! Katalin lands on it, and accidentally activates it.
"What happened?!" Katalin asked "Am I ok?"
The stunned Dr and her assistant just stare at her, with shock on their faces. Katalin glances over to a mirror on the wall. Looking back at her was a girl exactly like Katalin, but with a cat tail, cat ears and catlike features. And what is more, she was growing at an alarming rate! Previously she was a girl of 5'7, but now stood at an alarming 11'9, and still growing!
