Gloria answered the door and happily let Alex in “hi welcome! Come in, come in, make yourself comfortable. I’m so excited to start!” Gloria would never have expected Alex to ask for her help with a project. She always worried that her husband’s granddaughter thought of her as a bit of an air head deep down. So she was more than happy to prove herself. Jay had taken Joe on an extended fishing trip and Manny wasn’t expected back for weeks so Gloria was happy to have Alex over so they could have the house to themselves for Alex’s Little experiment. Just happy to feel needed, really.
Alex was just a bit taken aback by Glorias eager demeanor but entered all the same. She had a big back over her shoulder with everything she’d need for the next day or so. What she had planned may be a little bit drastic, but she was going to blow her professor away. “Did you listen to the recordings I gave you?”
“Yes, I think so. I tried to listen but they didn’t really sound like anything” Gloria nodded. After turning down the snacks or drinks she was offered Alex moved them to the living room and set down on the couch. “So what are we doing? How am I assisting?” Gloria asked.
Oh yeah, Alex had been a little withholding with the details. “Well, the assignment is to use this experimental new psychological method to make someone think another way, basically.”
“Oooh, so hypnosis.”
“No, not hypnosis.” Alex felt just a little offended. “This is a lot more scientific than hypnosis.”
“Oh, ok. So what are you going to hypnotize me to do?”
Alex decided to just let it go and move on. “I’m going to try to use certain stimulus to make you believe you're a baby.”
Gloria couldn’t help but laugh “A baby! Heheheh. Iyam not a baby, Alex
“That’s what’s gonna make this exceptional” Alex shrugged off the laughter as she reached into the bag for the first object she planned on using
