It was....quite possibly the girliest thing you had ever seen in your life, or at least you had seen in your room.
The front of the CD was entirely pink, with plenty of cutesy designs like flowers of many different colors. There were sparkles all over the place and gave the impression of a bright and cute world of music. It looked like something a crazy otaku would have, of which you wouldn't really consider yourself as. Yeah, you enjoyed Japanese stuff more or less, both in terms of culture and entertainment, but this was kind of out of the ordinary even for you.
It thankfully did have a group name: KSS48. Sounded very similar to some other idol groups you had heard of, probably most famously AKB48. The first three letters of groups like these usually meant something, though you weren't sure why. Saying "KSS" out loud though almost made you think of "kiss".
"Heh, that would be funny," you smirked at such an idea. Who knew if that was the idea but whatever.
Other than that, it seemed like a pretty normal disk. There were mentions of many different songs, ranking in the dozens actually which was impressive for a CD. There seemed to be some Japanese text though that indicated a tag line.
Otagai o shinrai shi,-boshi ni tewonobasu Trust in each other and reach for the stars
Naturally though, you couldn't really read any of this, not to mention that confusing it was for such a thing to even be here. You didn't buy anything of this sort. Maybe someone gave it to you as a prank? Certainly not your family, and you hadn't had any friends in here for quite some time. Your mom would have mentioned something given she often changed out sheets.
Well, as confusing as it was, you couldn't deny J-Pop as a guilty pleasure. If it was here, might as well use it. You didn't see any indication that it was a stolen piece or anything. If that was the case, then you guessed it was all fair game. The closest rationale you could think of was probably someone leaving it there and it just happened to be missed until you found it. Fair enough as far as you knew.
So, as you did a lot of the time, you downloaded the songs to your iphone. Though, perhaps amusingly enough as it was happening, your screen actually showed an image resembling that of the cutesy CD. Huh, was that some kind of promotion for anyone with the CD? Sounded curious but whatever.
Anyway, it wasn't too long until you saw it finish downloading, and you put the CD back in its case and left it in a spare container in your dresser. You actually had to get ready to meet a friend of yours. Jordan wanted to hang with you today.
