This choice: Kat Reads Chelsea's Charming Chest • Go Back...Chapter #6Kat reads Chelsea's Charming Chest by: The Martian The fact that she could see the very bottom line of every story in the large book across the entirely flat expanse of her non-existent chest was not lost on Kat. She was pleased with everything the Burgeoning Book had given her so far, very pleased, but she still wasn't going to be winning any beauty contests any time soon.
If there was one thing which had bothered her as much if not more than being short it was being flat. Breasts were something she had never had, not even a little. She may not have grown up very tall, but at least she had grown a bit. In the chest department Kat was a complete non-starter. She had no idea what it was like for other girls to look down and see actual curves, let alone not be able to see their feet. As the title of the next story burned itself into her brain, the redheaded teen wondered what it would be like to finally feel like a woman for the first time in her life.
Chelsea was a charming creature, cute and carefree as can be. Conversely, her closest companion Caroline was cunning and competitive. The couple of them were constantly combing the countryside by carriage and by cart for clothes and cuisine but Caroline conspired to curb Chelsea's choices by claiming the choicest for herself. When Chelsea...
The story became something of a tragedy after Chelsea began growing the most 'charming chest' with the most 'cavernous cleavage' in all the land and Caroline was completely outclassed in her one-sided rivalry for eligible suitors but still did everything she could to ruin Chelsea's life.
Closing the book, Kat knew she didn't have to worry about that. What had happened at ballet earlier was not exactly an isolated incident. She was already suffering from other girls trying to ruin her life, or at least taking great pleasure in laughing at her every misfortune. Kat would kill for a big enough bust to drive them mad with jealousy. She could get her own back on them without lifting a finger and there wouldn't be a thing they could do about it.
Looking down at the straight and uninterrupted fall of her nightshirt for what she hoped was the last time, Kat fluffed her now even thicker mass of vibrant red hair out over her pillow and closed her eyes, looking forward to what the morning would bring.
***
Having stayed up so late reading the previous night, Kat had no time in the morning to measure anything and could only hope she was still growing taller. In her rush to get out the door on time though, she could have sworn her chest was the slightest bit more prominent than before. Without the book in her life she would have brushed it off as a trick of the light but her gorgeous new mane and the fact that even her idle humming was somehow in tune now made it clear she wasn't seeing things. It had started and who knew when it would stop.
The downtrodden but defiant core inside of Kat secretly hoped her breasts would keep growing until she overshadowed not just the girls who tormented her but their friends, their sisters, their mothers and every woman in their lives until she was without question the bustiest, curviest, most feminine girl any of them had ever seen and completely beyond any hope of catching up. That was how she wanted to avenge all of the barbs and insults she had suffered. Not by bullying them in return or spreading rumors but by total, crushing victory in the puberty war.
Kat may have been at the very bottom of the hierarchy, but she knew how the system worked. Extreme hotness was a completely unassailable defensive position as well as the insignia of commanding rank. Any attempt by a less attractive girl to bully or even sass a hotter one was entirely ineffective and just looked jealous and pathetic to those observing. As the underdog it was very frustrating since there was no way at all to turn the tables, but Kat now had a secret weapon and her campaign was underway. She wasn't going to see Vanessa or the other ballet girls for a few days and that gave her strategy, and herself, time to develop.
For now though, she had school and a whole different set of torments to endure, starting with how her best friend could possibly be this lively this early in the morning.
"It's so not fair. Not even a little bit. How do you do that? You look like you've barely slept, your eyes are all puffy, your skin is even paler than usual and yet somehow you're always having a good hair day!" Jess grumbled in exasperation as Kat met her at the lockers. Drawing the flaming waterfall in front of her protectively in case Jess decided to take out her frustration on it, Kat noticed it was longer still and its weight had pulled it into soft waves leaving just the ends to curl and bounce behind her.
"I don't know, it's just like that. I don't really do anything to it," she replied meekly.
"That's even worse! It's like you're mocking me and every other girl with just how naturally amazing your hair is with no effort at all. How dare you!" the Asian girl exclaimed, wearing a strict expression and waggling an accusatory finger under Kat's nose before breaking into giggles. Kat giggled softly too before clapping a hand across her mouth at the unexpectedly musical sound. There was no way to measure it, but from time to time she noticed the small improvements in her voice since the previous day.
"She does have nice hair, doesn't she?" A new voice drawled sarcastically from behind them. The pair turned to find their school's head cheerleader and queen bitch Angelica, looking down on them. "I'd ask how she does it, but of course I don't take advice from ugly flat-chested midgets, so once you sort the rest of ...this out you be sure to come and see me." The taller girl waved an imperious hand up and down to indicate the whole of Kat's body before her laughter became the cue for the sycophants around her to join in. Until recently, Kat would have turned as red as her hair and run from the cruel laughter but now there was a spark inside her and it was growing as she did.
"I will," she replied quietly, the clarity of her enhanced voice making sure everyone heard her despite the noise of laughter. "Just remember you said that because I will come for you, when I'm ready." Kat stared straight up into Angelica's eyes. The implied threat was weakened a bit because Kat's nose barely cleared the taller girl's impressive chest which strained against a cheerleading top probably a size too small and wobbled with her laughter. However, the intensity of her gaze seemed to unnerve Angelica and the laughter petered out into awkward silence while Kat held her stare for a long moment before grabbing Jess's arm and marching out of the circle of taller, more developed students. Nobody tried to stop them, everyone was too shocked.
Kat kept up the strong front until they turned a corner out of sight before leaning against a wall and sagging as the tension left her.
"What was that?" Jess whispered in quiet awe, still processing recent events.
"Can't let her win every time," Kat replied, sounding tired. "Maybe Angelica's got it all over me. Maybe I am ugly, short and flat compared to her but that might not always be true and maybe next time she'll think twice." Jess just looked at her friend in silence before grabbing her hand.
"Come on then, we've got to get to class."
Kat allowed herself to be led, still thinking about Angelica's taunts. She wouldn't be short or flat for much longer if the book kept doing its thing and maybe once she got home there was something she could do about ugly as well.
