Chapter #6

Charlene's bedroom

    by: Kane01 Author IconMail Icon
Charlene hadn't neatly placed the runners in her closet and the one Jon occupied lay on it's side. All the easier for him to leave it. However he waited until he was sure the Dino Girl was somewhere else in the house before he crawled out from under the closet door.

He'd Fantasized about this moment, But what he had envisioned in his head and what he now looked at were two different things. The Bedroom looked like a typical late teen's bedroom. It was scaled up multiple times and built for a dinosaur but other than that it was a typical late teen bedroom.

It was also Like walking through an empty city landscape.

Truth be told, Jon would've found the room and it's contents huge even at his old height of five foot eight. The House was built to accompany the size and frame of a Dinosaur. Though Charlene wasn't as massive as her Ancestors of a million years ago, She was still a larger than most humans. Her bed, a twin size for her, would be a queen size for someone like Jon.

The floor was hardwood, with a thick rug sticking out from under the bed. That would make traversing in that area of the room difficult, but he was up for the challenge. Especially when in a few hours his goal would be laying in that bed. Jon thought for a moment. It might be better for him if he started to make his way over to the bed. Hopefully he'd find someway up.

Meanwhile , oblivious of her new roommate, Charlene made her way back to the in the kitchen. Already her thoughts of school and the odd janitor were left far behind. Right now she just wanted a snack and relax. She knew in a few hours her mother would be home with take out, as was the case every Friday, she didn't want to have anything that would be too heavy to ruin her appetite. She opened the cupboard. Cereal would do nicely.

The phone rang "Hello?" said Charlene putting the Phone to her face. "Jill! How have you been? Yeah, just got out today."

She continued her conversation while pouring cereal and milk into a bowl. With the phone in one hand and the bowl in the other she made her way back to her bedroom.

Traversing the floor of the bedroom took longer than he thought it would. He was just reaching the rug by the bed when the floor began to shake with the footfalls of an approaching Charlene. A part of him was on the verge of panic, while another made him look toward the door and the footfalls intensified. Still taking on the phone and towering hundreds of feet like a Japanese Kaiju, Charlene headed straight for her bed oblivious of the tiny human in her path.

Even if he had wanted to run, Jon was too mesmerized to do so. Not that it would've made a difference.
