With some coaching, you're able to make the most convincing character possible, and keeping the surprise to yourself arrive. When people ask your name, you evade answering, suggesting that you're a new start they haven't seen before.
After the fifth attempt to find out, you reveal that shamefully you didn't know it was fancy dress, and you came smartly dressed but still in your work clothes. Seeing the look of disappointment on their faces, you smile to yourself ready for the big final reveal.
Only doubling down on the concept, as you hear the muttered, mumbled and whispered insults all suggesting you're some type of bimbo, and only hired for your looks.
You have to giggle and ask them to repeat themselves, when the gossip is too loud to pretend you didn't hear it. They never repeat the slur to your face, just smiling and inventing a different response.

You don't want to be too harsh to them, as you do spot a few of the women have gone the lazy option, with the Slutty..., or the Sexy..., and you do fit quite convincingly in that sub-group of hallowe'en outfits.

There's even a couple playing Doctor and Nurse, simply going for pure sex appeal rather than your subtler deception. With obligatory nip slips from both of them.
Looking around the guys, you see a wider range of characters. Some from horror films, a classic character or two. You spot a few super-hero, and the variety of effort surprises you too. There are far fewer women who haven't gone for the sexy version of a character.
