Suddenly, a group of holographic screens appear in front of you, and you believe it worked. However, closer examination reveals otherwise. One screen showed your own body, presumably to act as a preview of what you'd look like after selecting your swaps. The next screen showed a huge list of things to swap. The final screen though, that was where you saw something unexpected. Instead of showing a picture of Princess Peach, the screen showed what was currently being displayed on your TV, the current status of the game. It seemed you weren't able to select a character from the game to swap with, but you could swap with the game itself!
You were a little bewildered by this, but now that the list had been brought up, you weren't about to just put it away without swapping something, especially after seeing some of the options in the list. "Body", "Clothes," "Personality," these seemed like things that made a lot of sense when swapping with a person, but not so much when swapping with a video game. Would swapping bodies turn you into a game cartridge? Would swapping clothes leave you naked while your console wore your clothes? But if it swapped with the physical game, why did the screen show what was on the TV instead of the game cartridge? Maybe you could swap with the characters in the game after all, just in something of a roundabout way.
Looking through a few of the other options, you spot something called "Social Position". Hovering your finger over the option, you find your image being labelled as "Human" and the game's as "Video Game." How exactly would that work if you swapped? Would you be considered a game somehow? Just something that your family owned and played with? It didn't really make a lot of sense to you, but apparently that was something the remote could do. You were admittedly curious, but you were a little hesitant about just giving up your status as a human being.
