Tapping your pencil against your desk, you watch the clock, waiting for it to finally hit 12. You had plans to meet some friends for lunch down the road. Finally, the bell rang. Grabbing your bag, you make your way to the door, beginning your walk to the other side of the school where your car is parked. When you finally make it and walk outside, a familiar face is waiting by your car.
"Jaime, what are you doing?" you ask your younger sister. She looks at you with sad eyes.
"Please, can I come with you? Nobody will know!" she says, opening your car door. Thinking for a moment, you suddenly get a bad feeling about bringing her with you.
"No, I don't want you to end up in trouble. I'll bring some food back for you, though." You reply, shaking your head. She storms back to school without saying another word to you. She's upset now, but it's for the best.
You get in your car, and begin your drive, admittedly speeding more than you should be to make it there and back before your next class. As you drive, you hear your phone ringing. You pull it out of your pocket and look down to see who it is. The caller ID reads 'UNKNOWN'. You decline the call and turn your attention back to the road, where a man is standing not 20 feet in front of you. Trying to avoid hitting him, you swerve into the grass on the right, while slamming the breaks as hard as you can. Your head hits the steering wheel and you feel dizzy. Your sight is blurring and you feel like you're about to pass out. You can barely make out the man walking towards your car. He opens the door and gently touches your head. You hear him say something but can't quite make it out. Something about 'swap'... 'anyone'... 'but there's a catch'... When he's finished speaking, he vanishes as quickly as he appeared. You can't fight it anymore, and you pass out.
Next thing you know, you're coming to. Your head hurts. You're still in the car so it couldn't have been too long. You reach for your phone and press the home button. You've been out for an hour.
"Great, looks like I missed lunch and now I'm late for class," you mutter, rubbing your forehead. You get out of the car and see that there was no damage when you drove off the road. You turn your car back on and go get your food, taking your time and making sure to watch for random people on the road.
About an hour later, you're back at the school, eating your food, waiting for the next class to start. When you hear the bell ring, you walk back inside. As you move through the halls, you're reminded of the man saying something just before you passed out.
What power did he say you have?
