Reaction Times are Key

When you heard the machine turn on, you looked down and saw it point at you, before you could do anything, everything went white. The blinding light of the machine basically immobilized you. You lay on the floor, waiting for your vision to clear, when it finally does, you notice your ears are ringing. You look around, everything is huge! Shit, the machine shrunk me. I wonder if Caiden is still here, maybe he saw me shrink? Did the machine actually shrink me? Damn. This is crazy.

Your thoughts were cut off when you heard a boom from around the corner, your ears still slightly ringing, you figured it must have been Caiden, you venture out in the middle of the aisle between the two tables. You see Caiden walk out from the other side. Coming straight for you, you start to jump, trying to gain his attention. But he isn’t looking down.

Does he not know I shrunk? Shit, I need to get out of his way! By the time you think of this you see the sole of Caidens Vans, the waffle pattern is coming down on you, everything feels like it’s in slow motion. You try to dive away, you think fast, then-
