I know of the Mr Cherry robot in that one chapter/episode, as well as Lumitel's Love Hina : Kiss-o-matic▼
story. I wouldn't be surprised if I was subconsciously inspired by that story. So don't steal from Lumitel.
Alright, plot think time!
First plot choice is that rather than the girls having Tsundere personalities, they are kiss-crazy. So yes, in this, Granny Hina sent Keitaro to a den of serial kissers, rather than violent Tsunderes.
Sure, Motoko and Naru have their skills, but they'd probably use them to set up for a kiss. Like they injure Keitaro, so he won't run away.
So I think Granny Hina is not really helping Keitaro find his promise girl in this one, but trying to prevent the Hinata tenants from getting arrested for sexual harassment.

Second plot choice is that Su decides to create real vampires for Halloween and creates a raygun. But she's smart enough to realize that vampires that bite people and drink blood is a problem. So she makes it so the vampires feed from kissing. Thus the vampires both feed and turn others into vampires via kisses.
Because of Keitaro's seemingly immortality giving him a lot of energy for vampires to drain, he is the perfect prey. Either he is immune from being turned or has a seriously good resistance. It depends on the writer.
And yes, this is heavily influenced by Attack of the Killer Tomatoes TV series episode, 'Spatula, Prinze of Dorkness'.

Third plot choice is....
What if the Tenants of the Hinata Inn were mothers and older sisters of the canon girls?
Tsuruko Aoyama, Naru's mom, Natsumi Otohime, Shinobu's mom, Amalla Su, and Julia McDougal are kiss-crazy for Keitaro. Aw heck, why not throw in Haruka Urashima for good measure.
It’s an older woman harem, all of whom want to kiss and molest Keitaro... and perhaps each other?

And now for the weird 4th plot choice.
Su creates a invention that turns the female inn dwellers into clowns.
Rather than get violently beaten up or Naru-punched into the sky, Keitaro gets pie'd in the face, seltzer-sprayed, slapped with a paper fan, or whatever else clowns might do in fiction. And then he gets kissed.
