Now, Because I can't think of anyone else to be the giantess in this year all the first tier selections will revolve exclusively around young Hermione Granger. I have no interest in reading or writing about characters like Professor McGonagall or Molly Weasley in the role of power, just my personal preference and in no way a guideline for this story.
* An addendum to that statement, for the first year Hermione will be the only character shrinking or discovering tiny characters, it seems repetitive to make additional choices for the year with the smallest character cache. *
1. Hermione Granger suspecting Professor Snape's involvement in releasing the troll on Halloween that almost ended her life in pursuit of the Sorcerer's Stone, as well as the attack on Harry during his Quidditch game decides to take it upon herself to remove Snape from the equation by shrinking him with a potion he taught them to brew weeks ago.
2. Harry, while attempting to sneak out of the Hogwarts dormitory is caught by Hermione who warns him that sneaking around the castle at night is strictly forbidden and that he could be expelled. Harry tells her not to worry because he has his invisibility cloak, but Hermione shrinks him anyways with the 'Reducio" spell to keep him from leaving. Finding a place for him that he couldn't get out of until morning.
3. Ron and Harry are mysteriously shrunk in an instant while sitting on a couch in the Hogwarts Common Room, going completely unnoticed by any of their fellow classmates. Shortly after Hermione returns from the Library with a new book, looking for a comfortable seat to do a bit of light reading. (Unaware)
4. Draco Malfoy is shrunk by Hermione a week after he reported her, Ron, and Harry to Professor McGonagall for sneaking out of the castle after hours and getting them into trouble. She cites that while their detention was now over, Draco's was only just beginning.
5. Harry shrinks on the Hogwarts express on his first journey to Hogwarts, after a young girl by the name of Hermione Granger enters his train car and enters what she believes to be an empty room. Harry calls out to the giant girl in the hopes of getting her attention but is unsuccessful before she sits down. (Unaware)
