Whistling you head to your lab and prepare your next round of crazy gov't funded experimentation. On the board today is an odd one but it has some promise. After a few to many long nights in the lab a college and yourself came up with a unique idea. What if time travel could be possible through some form of unbirth transference?
The general train of thought is this. Inserting a living creature into the womb of a living female might present you with an option. Using some alien tech you might have stolen from sector-8 you are sure pulsing the right energy into the female will send the creature inside her womb back in time. Following her line of parentage back to the past. The test subject hopefully popping back into reality safe and sound wherever the ancestor happens to be.
The problem now was how to even test this. Human subjects were available and willing to have animals inserted into them but how would you know your idea worked? No sane women will admit she sudden birthed a lab mouse 200 years ago.
That gives you a second option. Taking another test subject and inserting them into a large enough animal. Then sending them back a few years to see if they pop back into reality. Maybe even a few years earlier into the same host females body.
Your not quite sure how to get them back. Perhaps sending them with a portable device that they can active. Of course they will first have to be birthed so they can see how far back they went. Then reenter the same female to ensure they travel back forward up the ancestral chain.
Well, what should we test first on this crazy idea?
