Playing this movie is just a step into tempting you to relax like how you used to when you were little. Julia cared little for the movie itself and watched as you fell asleep.
'I'm taking him away from you, Karen,' Julia thinks in her mind without regrets. Ever since she saw you when you were born and grow up before her eyes, she wanted a child of her own.
But, she does not want to marry. She rather likes the single life. Plus, even if she married and had her own child, she could not guarantee the baby would grow up as you did.
She wanted you, specifically, not someone else.
Now that you're asleep, she could move forward that plan. There are always risks and you may even reject her, but she has fallback plans.
Knowing that once you fell asleep, you'd sleep rather heavily, she readjusts your position, being careful not to be too abrupt. Soon, you were lying on top of her lap as she sat upright.
