In the middle of the night.

It was the middle of the night.
Most stories that take place at nighttime begin on a dark, stormy night, but this story is not like most stories.
Firstly, the night was perfectly clear; you could see a great many stars, and secondly, our brave hero and heroine, Wild Tania and her twin brother Marty, or as he was known, the Squirmy Kid, were only two years old.
Everybody in the house was still, until one day, someone woke up. Who?
