Prince Markus, now three years old, was staying with King Frederick's noble brother: Prince "Uncle" Leroy.

Queen Odessa was in the hospital ward, about to give birth to a second prince, and it was a longstanding tradition that the king had to be present for the birth of his offspring, so Markus was left in the temporary custody of Leroy.

Just then, Leroy got a phone call.
When he got off the phone he said, "Good news, champ: your mommy's given birth to a healthy baby boy, and they've named him Dean."
