The inside was as dusty as it was dirty outside, the walls were dull and covered in a thick coating of dust that was collected over the years of the lack of cleaning the house received, it was dark but could not be attributed to the cloudy sky but the lack of light penetrating in because of the pulled curtains that covered the windows in the entrance.
The air tasted old and dry in your lungs as you breathed it in.
"...well... home sweet home I guess." you breathed out as living here alone was going to be hard as you were now going to have to take care of this large estate that lacked both warmth and company.
While a large house with all expenses paid for was great to have at your age, it was already becoming a great disappointment and not because of the cold and unfeeling air, but because you were away from your family, your actual loving family who could not stay with you as par the requirements that only you stay along with a spouse or girlfriend which you had none of.
Pulling your luggage you walked down the unlit halls with shadows consuming the walls, the tapping of your shoes echoed throughout the halls and possibly the house as you navigated blindly in hopes of finding a bedroom to call your own.
You travelled through the hall, passing my many portraits that oddly held women in it rather then men unless they were marry like the previous owners, your ancestors who stood proud in their portraits with many woman in It with them.
As you wandered, you couldn't shake the feeling of eye's boring into your very being from all direction, when ever you turned to source where you felt it you saw nothing or just the paintings of women whose eye's seemed to follow you, it felt like the entire house itself was following you, step by step.
... it was... terrifyingly unnerving especially being all alone.
thankfully after checking each door you came across, you seemed to have found it... the master bed room and not just a guest bedroom.
the large extra king sized mattress that looked capable to hold more then just two people stood at the very of the very large room that was massive in size, comparing it expanse to that of the grand hall with wardrobes and draws opposite the bed where the door was. another door was present in the room not to far from the bed.
opening it revealed it to be the private bathroom that also big with a large hexagonal shaped bath tub that could be described as miniature pool and the kiddy ones but in terms of depth it was the shallow end that went up to your chest with steps going up and into it.
Amazed by it but otherwise tired from the long journey, you decided to unpack the clothing you pack for tonight.
walking back out into the bedroom, you were caught by surprised as you saw that you were not alone as standing within the room was....?
