As she passed the final door in the dingy corridor, Emma noticed an door leading back outside on her left. It was open, swinging back and forth in the wind, and she moved closer and peered outside. It was still pretty dark and foggy out there, not to mention cold, but something in the distance caught her eye...there were some lights nearby, in what looked to be some sort of glass structure, which she guessed must have been a greenhouse.
"Worth a look," Emma said to herself. Maybe Stacey was outside, trying to get some signal on her phone? The fact that everything here was lit up at least seemed to indicate that somebody, probably Stacey herself, had been around and explored the place.
Emma headed out into the night, jogging across to the large, illuminated greenhouse in front of her. She pushed the glass door open with a creak, and slipped inside. "Stacey? You here?"
There was no response, so she decided to look around the greenhouse. To her surprise, it was in remarkably good condition - all the glass surfaces were clean, and the plants all looked healthy and well looked after. She had no idea who had been taking care of them, but obviously someone had been keeping up with the gardening here, because there was no way these plants could have stayed so healthy without some TLC. She strolled up and down the rows of greenery, examining some of the specimens; a lot of the plants here seemed to be fruit and vegetables, and she spotted some blueberries, pears and apples growing.
