This choice: Pretend to be under her spell a little longer and act docile. • Go Back...Chapter #5Rescued, but still unsafe by: Unknown Even though the Mew's bodily heat offered a feeble shield from the jaws of cold that were slowly closing around you, it wasn't enough to keep you from shivering, or to keep your teeth from chattering.
Your gaze shifted from the wall of pink, thin fur in front of you to the giantess that currently held you.
You discovered the Mew busily picking up the stuff she had taken from your bag with Psychic, before turning around to get away.
Only to immediately stop to turn around again and pick up the human's abandoned shirt as well.
Then, hastily, she darted off, deeper into the thick woods. She briefly looked at her human victim, and the sight alone was enough to strike guilt into her: he looked like he was almost frozen (as he was certainly going to be if she didn't hurry), his eyes were completely void, his teeth chattering, producing a low sound that only made the legendary increase her speed.
With your brain rapidly shutting down, you looked at the very agitated legendary that was carrying you to an unknown destination, floating at full speed through the forest with the stuff she stole hovering behind her.
She wasn't looking at you and, for a moment, you thought about shouting to get her attention, demand her to let you go, appear as imposing as possible right now.
But you decided against it; an angry legendary was the last thing you needed right now and, to tell the truth, you didn't feel like you had any more strength to shout. The wise thing to do was to keep calm, pretend to be still under the Mew's spell and ask questions when you weren't about to die in her paws.
Once again, you saw her gigantic blue eyes gazing down at you as she checked if you were still alive.
You made eye contact with the Mew.
"W-Whe-" you started, but trailed off as cold penetrated your mouth, invading your insides as well.
"Save your strength human, you'll need it," the pink giantess said, concerned,
"Don't worry, all will be fine. Just stay calm..."
You couldn't conceive how she was asking you to ‘stay calm’ right now. If you weren't about to enter hypothermia and shrunken to a pitifully small size, you would have certainly freaked out.
Your train of thought was interrupted, and you felt like your brain was frozen, like you had just eaten a lot of ice cream too hastily. Each thought now hurt your head, the unrelenting cold stung you from all sides.
And your consciousness slowly waned. You took one last glance at the gigantic Mew, before everything became dark as you passed out from the cold.
As for Mew, she finally made it to a small cave and rushed inside, finally finding shelter from the grip of cold.
Not for her, of course. Her fur kept her perfectly warm.
It was for the human she had shrunken.
Sure, fighting trainers and their pokemon bothered her, but she never came even close to killing anyone! She never even thought about such thing!
Feeling bad, the legendary set the stuff she took - stole - on the stone floor of the cavern, before she finally looked at her tiny passenger.
She felt like she punched in the stomach, her eyes shrunk at the sight of the naked human laying motionless against her chest, his eyes closed and his mouth gaping open.
Crap.
Hastily, the pink legendary brought her head on top of your form and listened carefully in complete silence.
...
Thankfully, the human was still alive. But it didn't mean he was out of danger.
Hastily, Mew began rubbing you in between her paws while she neared her mouth to you and breathed right on your body.
Only after several moments she stopped and picked up your shirt with Psychic, wrapping you up in one of the sleeve.
It seemed like her actions weren't in vain, she thought with a sigh of relief, the human's face regained a little bit of color.
You were safe.
--
‘Am I... dead...?’
This was your first thought as you woke up, slowly opening your eyes to glance around.
Everything was comprehensibly blurry, but your vision cleared after a few instants, allowing you to see... nothing.
Everything was pitch black.
"W-Wha-"
Memories of what happened began returning: you met Mew, you saw her stealing your stuff, you... almost died from the cold, if you weren't dead for real right now.
...
You felt your hand and tried to pinch yourself with it, but you discovered that you couldn't move.
In confusion you looked around, which took a bit of an effort.
Laying there, right in front of you, was the giant form of the Mew you met before.
Your first instinct was to back away, but you couldn't move properly.
But you relaxed upon realizing the the giantess was asleep, her eyes closed and her breath slow, rhythmic, almost hypnotic. Even when asleep, the legendary was absolutely fascinating, but you didn't have any time to think about her now.
You looked at yourself, discovering that the reason of your immobility was your own shirt, wrapped tightly around you.
Mew must have improvised this blanket for you to warm you up, you sourly thought.
You struggled to break free from your own shirt, feeling like you were going to suffocate, but you only managed to loosen it up a bit. Better than nothing though.
Once again, your gaze went to the sleeping Mew.
If you managed to break free completely, you could get away from this unpredictable legendary that almost caused your death only to steal a few things from your bag - she even brought them along while she rescued you!
... But, she saved you, so that meant she didn't mean you any real harm, and your chances alone out there were quite low.
Mew seemed like a comforting thought, a barrier around you, but she also was a tormenting thought; if you stayed around her, she could do all sorts of things to you and you wouldn't have been able to stop her.
The thought alone was terrifying, but not as much as it was the mental image of your dead body in the middle of these woods you made the mistake in coming to.
Whatever you were going to do, you had to make a choice, fast.
Mew wasn't going to sleep forever. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
